Seems tango and charlie are ruining the boards again.

Wise ones loaded up from 0.50p and mug punters ended up buying their CCE at 8.50p.

Trditional energy will do all it can to stop Solar eats into its market, so its just common sense that for solar to gain momentum, it will take courage and winning a long hard fight.

If UTN manages to sign up one important contract in coming weeks or months, it will open up more opportunitites and the closing of future contracts will be a bit easier.

The real break through will be the invention of Grid Parity device that Akhter and Co is now working on.

Bearing in mind UTN is a tiny £2.7m market cap company, even a small meaningful
contract will be a good step forward. Lets hope we make it happen soon.

I think the article answers its own title.

No one is saying that solar will replace fossil fuels in the near term because that is not going to happen but solar can suppliment them.
In this regard part of the Mexican energy bill requires a percentage of energy to be sourced from renewables with solar being the preferred option.

Am I right in thinking that AIM rules say half year results must be out no later than 6+3 months after previous year end.
i.e. 31 Dec 2013 + 6 = End of June 2014 + 3 = End of Sep 2014 . So if they are delaying until they get those signatures there isn't much time left.

But to keep the ramp on track I'm sure the results will be good even without game changing news.

It'll be tears in hindsight - I stated the other day that a stock went up 1000% in 1 day - UTN could get well over 10p in a flash.

You know as well as I do that one signature will see 1p long gone, but better than that UTN are involved in numerous discussions in multiple coutries. In that context an share price of 1p is laughable, or will it be tears from hindsight when its trading at over 10p.

Yes indeed fido. IMO it'll be marked up over 2/3p before open anyday now and even then hard to buy.

“We were looking for a partnership in Mexico because we believe Mexico is going to be the largest market for solar in all of Latin America,” said Greenwood Energy CEO Camilo Patrignani. “It was definitely a place we wanted to be.”

I would not only expect news of UTN`s schools project in the near term but I also expect to hear that UTN are involved in further talks about other Mexican projects.
Such is the significance of the passing of the energy bill.

It has been said on this BB that Saudi presents the best potential for UTN. That may be true because of Saudi`s shire weight of money they can throw into the ring, but in saying that I would not discount Mexico where they are really up for a move into solar.
Bear in mind that UTN`s school project talks will almost certainly not stop at that, with huge opportunities in off grid connections and solar farms.
