Bionic, Although at current production rates it would only take a couple of saplings to absorb the CO2 emitted by the burning of the oil from the #HorseHill puddle.

Of course if you import the oil it's much better. Having said that , I think he overestimated the oil that they produce.
Lindsay Parkin, from Brighton, said his actions were "necessary & proportionate" due to the #climate and #EcologicalEmergency and that it would take "10 million trees 100 years to absorb the 10 million tonnes of CO2 emitted by the burning of the oil from the #HorseHill well"

The speed at which Turkey can be brought in to production if the drill is successful has removed the years of waiting to see massive returns. A very shrewd move by UKOG.
