of course shorting is ok in any stock as it is used as a hedge for any longs you may hold.

but what is bad is OTC pink sheet stock manipulation by bolier rooms scams!

its the manipulation of penny stock bolier rooms they dont want to allow into chatrooms, as too many have been caught in america.

they mean OTC and pink sheet stocks

they shouldnt ban. that similar to banning shorting.

any sane investor always want to listen to both sides of the argument or they would be stupid. It is ALWAYS bulls that want to shut the bears up and not the other way around. We just add balance, and are usually correct....well me always :)

yep....join the dots:

"The Horse Hill oil field and its associated significant future cash flow stream is of paramount importance to UKOG and will, therefore, continue to be the Company's prime short-term focus. In this respect, we remain on track to commence drilling HH-2 as previously reported."

Could this be the week for the placing or they can hold off in hope of HH2 positive result? Did you see the hidden message in the last RNS about cash flow? It's clear they are burning and lied about last placing.

PLUS will be zero. Not sure why its being talked about on here other than that this will also be a zero imo

Never good when im a bear on a stock

PLUS is only for mug punters to trade on . They makke their money by taking the bets of mug puntetrs and so NEED the punters to lose, and so the prices are not as underlying it.

Proper crazy stock that wil end up zero imo the only question for me is when

Yeh I agee with the features, however I just dont need them.

As for the charges, if I can avoid them I rather would.

flat £5.95 trade from x-o with no other fees is perfect.

Thanks for your feedback though!

but it goes down to £5.95, but the amount of info and facilities with hargreaves is outstanding.
most popular award winning broker
news, tips, etc.

if say you own say £10,000 in one stock, the most you pay a year is £45.

you then keep say £500 in your cash account to pay fees, so no shares are ever sold to pay fees.

hargreaves make most money via funds, they promote funds heavily, but if you know what you are doing, you own individual stocks and save money.

hi datait, yeh that £45 a year and £11.95 a trade is overpriced imo.

I hold long term in some cases, I dont like logging back in to find some of my shares sold to pay for charges I could have avoided.

svsxo is another broker which doesnt charge periodic charges... usefull to have cheaper alternatives.

I use hargreaves lansdown, excellent value, many articles. you pay 0.45% to own a stock, a max of £45 a year.ISA.

trading fees vary, the more times you do it in month the cheaper it is.
£11.95 max, £5.95 min.
but buy and hold is 0.45%, £45 max a year.

they may be dearer than others, but their service is superb!

ii have decided to up there fees again, now £19.99 a month just to have an account with the overpriced rip off company.

If anybody can recommend a cheaper broker let me know.

I am considering going to iweb-sharedealing(Halifax) for a fixed £5 a trade or X-O(Jarvis) for £5.95, neither have monthly, yearly, or inactivity fees like ii
