02/3/2016 12:46 | The long term flow tests are the key now. We can do nothing but wait and keep playing the games 30 day flow test will give clear indications on oil levels. I was amazed at the barrel rates for a vertical. Looking good. Looks like Lenny has been given a job to do. | ![]() robbie1424

02/3/2016 12:19 | Gatwick gusher UK Oil & Gas (LSE: UKOG) is currently a hot stock in the junior oil and gas market. The company made a discovery in the Weald Basin in Southern England last year and has been flow testing the reservoir recently. The Lower and Upper Kimmeridge zones flowed 456 and 900 barrels of oil per day, respectively. These flow rates were way above management expectations. Importantly the company got the well to flow without fracking the reservoir. This is great news and one that many didn't believe could actually happen. The Weald Basin may hold billions of barrels of oil, but there's still much disagreement over how much can be extracted. UK Oil & Gas is now seeking approvals to do an extended well test, which should provide further data on the reservoir performance over a longer time frame. All in all it's a very encouraging sign for the company as it moves towards possible development. These two companies have bright futures ahead of them if the positive news continues. The oil price is an obvious problem to both but that should begin to recover in 2017. | ibug

02/3/2016 12:03 | Magellan Provides Update on Horse Hill Flow Test MPET | 1 hour ago The Horse Hill-1 well lies within the license area of PEDL 137. Pursuant to a farmout agreement executed in December 2013, HHDL is the operator of and owns a 65% interest in both the license and the well, and Magellan is carried 100% for its 35% share of the costs of this well, including drilling, testing, and completion costs. J. Thomas Wilson, President and CEO of the Company, commented, "We continue to be encouraged with the results of the flow test of Horse Hill, which provided evidence of free flowing oil from two of the three formations planned to be tested. We believe that the results from the Lower and Upper Kimmeridge limestone formations are particularly relevant considering that these formations extend throughout the Weald Basin. The next step of the flow test consists of testing the Portland sandstone formation." Read more at | ibug

02/3/2016 10:39 | mypension, you make a number of very valid points and I have to say I'm not surprised this has plateaued and expect it to fall back (my post before open this morning). I am fully invested for long term and bullish in the long term. This needs as you say further testing - LGO is a great example and I got seriously burnt there, so I think the next move up will be post a say three month well test... the other issue is planning, consent and the usual rent a mob. This is south downs England and mid stockbroker country... planning for the next phase could take months and a development even longer - we are probably looking in excess of 12 - 18 months regardless of the "fast track" ramps. In the meantime the share price will drift and investors who bought in around 2.5 and are sitting on break even, losses or minor profits , especially the traders, will move on.... This is a long term venture... unless of course there is an offer for the lot by a BP or Total.... | ![]() simon8
02/3/2016 10:27 | I am trying to understand why the share price has not moved much higher more quickly. What more do the "big boys" want. The oil is these ... it is flowing. Possible reasons 1. People are worried just like LGO the flow rates will diminish 2. The oil may be difficult to extract - technically 3. UKOG may not get planning permission to do the extraction and transport the oil in tankers 4. Protesters may make serious disruptions and halt production 5. People are worried there will be a placing and/or UKOG does not have the funds to proceed with production 6. Some people may not trust the numbers being put out by UKOG Not being negative - just trying to understand ... I have not seen such a sure thing for a long time (and heavily invested) but still at 2.7p!!!!!! | ![]() mypension
