Update re Acquisition of Further Interest in Horse Hill-1 Oil Discovery and Licences, Weald Basin, UK

Further to the RNS dated 13 June 2016 regarding the signed agreements with Celtique Energie Petroleum Limited and Magellan Petroleum (UK) Limited to acquire 100% ownership of the 300sq km Weald Basin Licence PEDL234 (the "Acquisition"), UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (London AIM and ISDX: UKOG) announces that the material preconditions to the acquisition have now been met. These preconditions include the extension of the licence and the usual regulatory approvals being granted by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. The Company expects escrow completion of the Acquisition to be announced tomorrow. A further announcement regarding final completion of the Acquisition will be made in due course.

The fact the other HHDL players haven't jumped in unison (bar what appears to be a couple of late punts in Solo, presumably by similarly minded traders) makes me skeptical.

If something has leaked, you can blame good old AIM. I really can't see what that would be other than the company being sold off or something equally improbable.

If no news tomorrow I suspect the dead cat will settle down again!

They will need a placing moneymunch. And given prospects of actually getting one away at all look slightly rosier today, it wouldn't be the worst idea.

Amazing how excited people get on a bounce like this. There's no fundamental differences to yesterday! The company is still unable to generate cash, is running out of money with no other way to generate it other than from shareholders and is still way off being able to commercialize any of the oil - if they even can at all.
