12/11/2017 08:37 | Horse Hill used a linear rod pump to initiate flow as well. Looks as though the rod pump will be used on a section to get it to flow, then the flow measured, and then move on and repeat again for the next 30/100 ft section. RNS from Horse Hill "Restricted flow of 100% dry oil, through a 1-inch choke, using a rod pump, commenced at around 1350 hrs GMT yesterday at an initial instantaneous rate in excess of 700 barrels per day ("bopd"). At circa 1430 hrs the well started flowing freely to surface, without pumping." | dgunn222

11/11/2017 20:38 | If the linear rod pump allows the well to flow, then nitrogen lift may not be needed. Could be a good sign if nitrogen not used. IMO | dgunn222
11/11/2017 18:25 | Your welcome, hope that now using the method that worked at hh, will have a much better chance. | dgunn222

11/11/2017 18:05 | Published on shareprophets.com by Lucian Miers I have to take my hat off to UK Oil & Gas (UKOG). It has kept the show on the road for far longer than is customary with these types of promotes and seems to have cemented its position as the nations’ favourite oil tiddler after the long reign of Gulf Keystone (GKP) in the good old days of "The Tod squad". The shares at 4.6p are still wildly overvalued and look like reverting to norm at last. That the company needs money should be news to no one. The question is, how much can be raised and at what discount? The omens are not good here. With no cornerstone investor and the shares held by an army of retail punters who are used to thinking in hours rather than days, it seems reasonable to suppose that a pretty hefty discount will be needed. It is a useful tool for any investor to have the ability to spot bluster when confronting management. Likewise it is important to have some sort of feeling for the veracity of a written argument for or against a company even if one is not completely au fait with the complex technicalities involved. In this respect, the thoughts of Professor Smythe on UK Oil & Gas have a ring of expertise about them whereas the RNS’s churned out by the company seem full of half-truths and evasions. The point has been reached where UK Oil & Gas owes the market a clear update of where things stand with its well testing and how it intends to fund the future. Unless it comes clean pretty soon, the retail army are likely to get restive. The shares remain a sell at 4.6p. | loglorry1
