Lol plenty who have interest in Alba as well as Ukog, and positive news from Angus from the Kimmeridge at Lidsey will be highly significant....Onwards and upwards....;-)

Ps what's happened to the drip drip commentary and the other doom and gloom predictions from the desperate snide lowlife brigade??? ;-)

mm- 'Angus will be testing the Kimmeridge now'

roughly 340m of the lidsey-x2 borehole is in the combined kimmeridge/oxford [which overall is exhibiting brockham kimmeridge qualities with natural fracturing appearing to be present].

however its not perforated. a slotted liner is sitting in the oolite - that's what is about to flow/is flowing/being optimised.

mikey, the graphs above do not give the live prices and seem to average out movements and often just plain wrong. ALBA share price has been at -0.47% for most of the morning.

ALBA not up.

Looks like the Friday 'just in case' RNS crowd are turning up. Although I think proper flow results are some way off, an operational update on how things are progressing would be welcome.

WTD--You are quite right. A thought had crossed my mind. Peeps have been banging on about tankers leaving the site?? Now I have NO idea how things work, but maybe they will not need them to test the flow. They may only need to test each level for a limited time to evaluate a Flow Test?? and therefore the static tanks on site may well be enough for an initial period? I do not know, but maybe that is how it will pan out. All I do know is that it would be good to have some positive news soon!! GLA LTH

I don't own a drone but, as it happens, I will be driving along the road right past the entrance to BB on Monday at 3pm approx.
I'll see if I can co-ordinate passing the entrance (to take photos) with the exit of a dozen tankers coming off site!
Failing that I might go and "have a word" with any protesters. lol.

Note in the planned work that the cement squeeze was the 'final' step. If we take the first testing step, let 'multiple' = 5, for KL1, KL2, KL3 and KL4 that gives 20 flow tests. if you manage two per day, that is 10 days. Then perforate at another single location and repeat. This is not an overnight job. If there is to be interim reporting, we may be lucky to see results mid November - I am increasingly of the mind that we will be waiting until December. The results may not be reported as with HH, this is a different company, even though the test methodology has been changed to be more aligned to HH.

"The planned programme is as follows:

-- Firstly, proceed ahead to isolate, acid-wash and sequentially flow test multiple 30-100 ft existing perforated zones in the naturally-fractured KL1-KL4, and then;

-- Perforate further naturally-fractured limestone reservoir zones in the KL1, KL2 and KL3, isolate, acid-wash and sequentially flow test multiple 30-100 ft zones, and finally;

-- Conduct a short cement squeeze in a section of the KL4/KL5, run a new cement bond log, re-perforate the newly cemented section, isolate, acid wash, and sequentially flow test multiple 30-50 ft zones.

-- Flow will be initiated throughout the programme via the use of nitrogen-lift (without coil tubing), swabbing and/or pumping via the existing high-capacity linear rod pump

Testing is planned to continue until mid-December 2017."

dgunn---agree from my previous post, my mistake on Kimmeridge---the positive though is that all the areas seem to be swimming in a vast amount of oil and although it seems to be taking its time, and many of us are getting impatient for news it is only around a month since the work over started at BB---seems an age though!!

You agree that they need permission before they can flow the Kimmeridge at Lidsey.

But they obviously plan to flow test and produce from the Kimmeridge given the positive results highlighted from the 6/11/17 update , as per outlined in their 13/9/17 drilling Rns...gla :-)

Lidsey-X2 is a conventional production well targeting the existing Great Oolite Reservoir. The existing production well Lidsey-X1 has been temporarily suspended due to the site preparation works required for the drilling of Lidsey-X2.  Design options are currently under consideration to either convert the Lidsey-X1 into a water injector or perform production from the Kimmeridge. No decision will be made until a full analysis of the Lidsey-X2 drilling results are complete.

The Lidsey-X2 is expected to pass through the Kimmeridge formation enabling Angus Energy to assess its potential at the southern edge of the Weald Basin. The formation will be logged thoroughly as part of the drilling process.

MoneyMunch if I were you I'd try and distance UKOG from Lidsey. That's a train wreck waiting to happen. The history is terrible and there is a Tsunami of stock waiting to be unlocked which will no doubt hit the market very soon. The way UKOG is trading lately ANGS may be a better short and that's saying something.

Lidsey Rns update 6/11/17

As per the Company's guidance, geochemical analysis of the Kimmeridge and Oxford layers at the Lidsey Oil Field were undertaken to determine their commercial viability. The Company is pleased to advise that the initial results conducted on the drill cutting samples from the 66.2 metres of Kimmeridge and 105.0m of Oxford layers indicate a strong similarity to the maturity of the Kimmeridge layers at Brockham Field.

In terms of temperatures at the time of maximum burial, which is an important factor in the generation of oil, the historical temperatures were encouragingly higher than anticipated given the location of the Lidsey Field in the Weald Basin. Indeed, analysis of Tmax (maximum historical temperature seen by the rock) gave a range which overlapped with those seen in Brockham and an average temperature within 3 degrees (0.7 %) of those seen in Brockham. In addition, the TOC (total organic content) was virtually the same within experimental error.

The geochemical evaluations were performed by the same third party organization that provided the same analysis on the drill cuttings at Horse Hill and Brockham.

Further to the Company RNS of 13 October 2017, the BDF-28 drilling rig has now been fully demobilised. The Lidsey-X2 well has been prepared for production after completing the installation of the flowlines from the well head to the storage tanks, pump and other necessary equipment. The Company's guidance for actual production has been adjusted by seven days. After the trial operation of the pump mechanism carried out last Friday, the pump experienced a minor technical difficulty requiring repair and is currently being repaired prior to the well going in to full service.

Angus Energy still expects to put Lidsey-X2 into full production this week. The Company will perform testing to optimize production rates and provide an update in due course.

Paul Vonk, Manging Director, Commented:

"The initial geochemical test results from the Kimmeridge and Oxford are a pleasant surprise. Their similarity to our Brockham Oil Field BR-X4Z well in the north of the Weald Basin shows that Lidsey has the potential to increase the footprint of the oil bearing Kimmeridge layers in the Weald.

We look forward to putting the Lidsey X2 into production this week."

Thankx dgunn, I am not following Angus except for the brief word placed on here so not in the know about details. There isn't a flow rate for Kimmeridge out of Lindsay as far as I can see which is what I was speculating would be boost to UKOG. There are multiple lines of evidence that the Weald basin is floating on a sea of oil. Everything is about flow rates now. If obtaining flow from Kimmeridge is a technical problem then lessons from BB should be of great value to all the other wells - a potentially lucrative source of income from the knowledge.
