got to love the rich, they make their affairs very complicated. I guess we need to know who owns the equity first holdings who disruptive has leant the shares to. why do that if he is the beneficial owner of that entity too? any thoughts welcome!

Well we've already had our Halloween scare RNS (HMRC winding up orders indeed...) so lets hope the next one is pertinent to bank positivity.

This is where tung may have an advantage as one of its selling points is cross border tax compliance.

On a train that is running late. The guard blamed brexit - more original than leaves :)

Basware are finding it hard to grow this year, particularly in the UK.

"Basware has faced headwinds in its key markets in 2016. In the UK, uncertainty caused by the EU referendum has led to delays in decision making by both public and private sector customers..."

From their interim report, out today.

Personally I think it unlikely he would have pushed the button on this buy if he knew they were about to announce the bank sale had fallen through. So at least to that extent I see it as encouraging and I am now more confident that we will get the confirmation RNS in the next couple of weeks.

Cautious David Williams making a meaningful buy could be seen as a green flag...

Of peripheral interest, a long article about Coupa (to be taken with a pinch of salt):

Amazing :)

In 6 days with volume to 2.1m shares (1.67% of total shares) , share price went down from 69.5 to 52.25 (25% down)

In 2 days with volume to 300k shares (0.23% of total shares) , share price went up from 52.25 to 61.5 (17.70% up)

Yes but it would be nice to have a bit more of a clue about the reason for the sudden movements. Is it just random volatility or are insiders reacting to blow-by-blow developments on the bank sale or some other significant event?

imo, ymmv and of course I am usually wrong...

Acquisition may have worked if you could

-'client-invisibly' migrate users onto a lower cost product
-strip out costs
-etc

I do not think TUNG could have done that onto their platform - or off it to another.

It is hard to strip out costs.

So, in retrospect edi's idea was a non-starter. At the time he looked us in the eye and mentioned 'beelions' and my critical faculties were not fully engaged.

The idea of TEP/TA is still viable imo.

One wonders where the share price would be if Edi had executed his "original" growth by acquisition strategy? 55p? Higher? Maybe. We'll never know.

How long do Rick and the team have to prove Edi wrong? 7 months on from Edi's departure and the price remains some 10% lower.

They should buy tungsten to increase revenue :)

Tungsten at £14m loss per year and with some synergies and no head office cost (£6m) will not be a bad deal for coupa

and coupa's numbers

"But they’re still not profitable. For the six months ending in July, Coupa lost $24.3 million, which compares to a loss of $25.1 million in the same period last year. Yet revenue is growing, up to $53.2 million from $31.6 million in the same time frames."

around $50m loss per year and revenue of $85m per year for company valued at $2B :(

6 month revenue growth above 70%- $31.6m => $53.2m

But need another 50% yearly growth on revenue for break even
