Trending exactly where I suggested it would...

I bought and sold twice today! Was a rush :-)

But it's settling finally in the trading range. So I will have patience now and wait for my entry level again...


I'm looking forward to Metro Bank rallying as it's been held back big time like Tullow was and kicking ODEY in the teeth again with another 50% riser :-)

Sold today and will buy back in if it falls back, it had a good ride over the last few weeks so do see a bit of a sell off towards close IMHO

Key Points

International benchmark Brent crude futures popped on Monday in Asia, moving above $70 for the first time in more than a year.

The surge in oil prices came after Saudi Arabia said its oil facilities were targeted by missiles and drones on Sunday. A Houthi military spokesman claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Brent jumped 2.16% to trade at $70.86, while U.S. crude futures rose 2.09% to $67.47.

Key Points

European stocks are expected to open higher Monday, buoyed by positive U.S. sentiment as the U.S.′ Covid relief bill is expected to be approved by the House of Representatives later this week.

London’s FTSE is seen opening 47 points higher at 6,670, Germany’s DAX 52 points higher at 13,973, France’s CAC 40 up 33 points at 5,813 and Italy’s FTSE MIB up 183 points at 23,138, according to IG.

Spanish hedge fund spends £7m to boost stake in Tullow Oil

In November, Tullow sold its assets in Uganda to Total in a deal that was worth $500 million

Azvalor, a Spanish hedge fund, has spent just over £7 million boosting its stake in Tullow Oil from 6 to 7 per cent, stock exchange filings show. It leaves the fund with shares worth just under £50 million at Tullow’s closing share price on Friday of just over 50 pence.

Wow that's very encouraging. As long as the Asian Markets remain bullish overnight and the oil price stays the same or goes higher we can expect the share price to carry the momentum from Friday.

Then you have other factors (negatives) like the sale of assets...

Uganda was an absolute disaay, firesale price. Glad Dorothy is no longer leading tullow.

Oil is almost $70. The 3 major indexes in the US have gone up a lot on Friday. The bond markets jitters seem to have receded. Providing the Asian markets bounce back on Sunday night and the oil price remains the same or higher I would expect TLW share price to carry on the momentum it had on Friday. That's aside the earnings update on the 10th so potentially a very exciting week ahead.
