On times like this, having an asset being that a rare old bottle of wine, old painting always come in handy for a real hedge. On times like this none of market rules apply. If you don't get it this might help you: do you think traffic rules apply during an accident?

"The Mexico oil hedge is the most secretive hedging transaction in the oil world and is followed closely by banks as a sort of weathervane for oil prices. A handful of these are directly involved in the hedge: Mexico buys put options on oil from them and from oil supermajors in a series of about 50 transactions. Mexico budgeted for oil at $49 a barrel this year and this was the price at which it hedged its exports."So Mexico hedged at 49'USD, TLW 60% of production at 57 USD.....not too bad sunny

Turvart All due respect but you seem obsessed about something that may not be too important in grand scheme of things. The country is struggling a little and may be you should concentrate on making sure you look after those that mean something to you

I have been saying to my Wife for the Last few days when the Government has said we'll pay this and we'll pay that, where is this money coming from? It's coming from Government bonds that pension payers over the years have paid into, that's where the money is coming from and now I understand the drop in Bonds!

With the FTSE 100 coming down some 35% I have done a great job holding my pension at a 10% loss and 40% of my pension was in UK Government Bonds! can you believe that! but the Government took all the money away from the funds! That's the last time I put money into Government bonds if they of all people can't be trusted with pension funds!

Bonds should come up when equities come down but the Government took all the money out LOL!

You wrote decline, referring to TLW, not the DOW, followed by an almighty tank, which clearly wasn't available.

11p was the tops for now. All stocks will tank severely post 3pm. You've been warned.

Will finish sub 8p unfortunately

_______

Neither of those predictions happened either.

The tank was still unavailable here after 3pm, which had shifted from your earlier time slot of 2pm. You must have been running a little late, or perhaps you were whispering your warnings and were totally ignored, and it didn't finish below 8p either, so you can cut the pretence at being accurate.

Nothing wrong with being wildly adrift or inaccurate with numerous predictions but being too weak charactered to face up to it and admit it, isn't a very good look.

TV I agree, there is more to this then what we being told......this is being used to change attitudes, no cash, use only electronic means as that is traceable, reduce transport as under pressure by the green guys, so trying to stop the poor people traveling so the only only guys who travel are the rich, as finally the guys at the top have realised globalisation does not work.

Kulvinder,

I will put my integrity on the line of a trader and say IF Microsoft breaches 118 then this Worldwide stock market could collapse from there!

I said decline after 2pm and the dow tanked. Good for tlw holders as tlw didn't follow suit.
