I believe the drop yesterday and the lack of recovery today is more to do with change in USA rate, and the dollar, those are major factor on the price of the oil not so much today but in 9 months or so.
the market yesterday (especially in USA) did very well to go down less that 1% as the fed minute were at odds with market expectation in a very negative way.
Now will need time to adjust to potentially "normalization" on interest rate.
I so yesterday as an opportunity to top up in few share including TLW

Can only assume someone shorting or adding to their short. Nothing changed on the latest notification. But FCA update is always a couple of days later

Oil dropped 20 cents now and this wipes off a couple of %%, gains $2 and does nothing go figure....

Linked to poo although heavily shorted, therefore falls exaggerated and rises limited until shorts start closing.

Any fans of TA have a look at the long term oil charts. Yes there is a longer time frame than 5 mins lol.

In all seriousness IMO on viewing the monthly chart we are nicely set up for a good multi year bull run.


$50 could prove a sticking point over a few months and yes there could be dips back below $40 but those in for the longer term judging on current evidence could be handsomely reward with patience on longs on oil stocks.

There should be some really healthy returns over a couple year period.

I am in accumulation mode for oil stocks presently and I expect to be over the coming months.
