It appears that sentiment is rapidly improving for the brokers judging by the recent strong gains from depressed levels for Icap and Tullets.

With interest rate rises now clearly on the horizon in both the UK and USA, this will stimulate the demand for interest rate hedging products which will clearly be of benefit to broker throughput volumes.

On the fundies, TS did not anticipate fireworks over the next year or so but given his background I would expect him to have a cautious outlook which includes making adequate provisions on a worse case scenario regarding the outcome of the FSA case. Regarding price movement, it seems the lack of liquidity and the nature of the business make it an ideal trading stock. Still have 285 pencilled in. You never know!

I find it impossible to know where we are going from one day to the next on this one FABIUS1,no trend to go by,i think hope this will go higher longer term.In the the meantime the divi is covered over 2 low P/E and the company is loaded with cash with the possibility of a T/O thrown in

Afternoon chaps. Just joined you with a small holding. Hopefully reasonable medium term prospects. Buying at 288 with a 11.25p dividend baked in might well not be the bottom but hopefully decent value hereabouts. Good luck to all holders.

Well yes, all other things being equal, 285ish next Wednesday would be about right, as they are around 296 at the moment and the xd is 11.25p.
