TSE Consulting are supporting GL Events in Brussels from 17 -19 November see www.cityevents-sport.com, GL Events has more than 3,000 employees with sales of €606 million in 2008. Maybe, the sports related businesses that are still interested (see latest results) are seeing how the event unfolds !

a sorry set of results, if it was not for USA the business would be bust, the European operation which covers Switzerland, UK, Scandinavia and possibly Turkey turned over less than £300k. They have a debtor book which represent nearly 100% of their Turnover in last six months which suggests either they are pre-billing or they have considerable collection problems. Big cash outflow in first six months and there must be a limit as to what banks will lend a company like this. The much vaunted takeover seems to have disappeared. This must hit the wall within 6 months unless something significant happens

Yes Sean I agree. Perhaps not quite what was being expected, but the t/o merger still remains.....on what terms, with who and what will that mean for us???

The final results at the end of June stated that over the past few months we have been approached etc, that means it has been roughly 5 months with a number of sports related parties interested. More to this in my eyes and I think we deserve a bit more information.

I called Zeus Capital yesterday afternoon and I asked if a date had been set for the interims, the reply was that they will be out before the end of September. I said that I already know that as they have to be out within three months from the end of June and was only told that there is a lot going on at the moment but reiterated they will be out before the end of the month. My guess is the 30th as they are obviously trying to get as much news out with the interims.

Lufc where do you see the interims ?? The finals were in June ..

Looks like there could be a takeover but also their revenues and margins have improved in 2010 according to the last statement...they may well report a profit but upside here is on a takeover - I'm surprised people are not buying a small size just in case...
