There is constant movement on both the bid and offer as LSE (I assume DMA?) keeps altering on L2,yet trades never reported to match these 'moves'. Its the only stock that does it that hold or watch

Any ideas?

Will look for a pullback here PJ, but genuinely don't expect one to materialise. Train left the station a long time ago on this one.

This still got room for a bit more - 100 by Boxing Day with a decent market tail wind.

Gradually sold out my holding here over the last week or so. I know you shouldn't get attached to shares, but it was sad seeing the last one go. I could probably have gotten a few extra pence had I held on till yesterday, but have made good profits nevertheless. Sold out partly because it's now up with events, in my view, but also partly an eye on the long term charts, the price having struggled to get through the 85/90p range in 2007 and 2004. The last time the price was much higher than this was in the dot com boom.

Bets of luck to all continuing holders. Cracking management team here, imo. They already retired once before though, so I hope they stick around, now that they have 'righted the ship'.

Grindertrader,

Thanks – you're probably right, tho he does cover a lot of companies, and as an accountant sees much more than I do. He's cautious (no bad thing) - but for that reason I thought he'd be more interested in the developments in Trifast.
I agree with you that the introduction of the interim div is a v good sign - the amount isn't so important (but actually 0.4p taken with the Jul div of 0.8p isn't at all bad)

(btw just noticed that Steve posted the link to the same results video before me - sorry that I posted the same link. I like the overview that the video gives)

Paul Scotts review on Trifast today.

Let's look at the interim results from Trifast (LON:TRI) next. Trifast is an industrial fastenings group (manufacturer & distributor). They presented at a Mello Central investor evening some time ago, and I was left underwhelmed - mainly because it seemed such a boring, low margin industry, that it was difficult to see anything much happening.

I was wrong on that though, as actually Trifast has performed pretty well, with interim EPS rising to 3.06p today (2.9p diluted). So assuming no particular seasonality, then that means a run rate of about 6p EPS. Broker consensus is for 5.22p this year, so they appear to be out-performing against forecasts.

The shares have risen nicely this year, and are now 84p, so I make that a PER of 14, which looks about right if that level of performance is set to continue or improve further. An interim dividend has been re-introduced, but it's only 0.4p. The outlook statement sounds upbeat. They also have a good strong Balance Sheet.

Overall, the company has done well, but it's difficult to see much upside from a PER of 14 for a business in such a highly competitive sector.

I have just gone through the results and very satisfying and as expected for forecasted year end. Profit before tax reported at 4.33m, then we are on target to be over the expected 8m. Which is just under 12 times to market cap. this may start to become a little high but with Net debt reduced further now to 3.5m, (very low net gearing under 10%) I expect the company to remain stable, and I see more sales engineers will be employed to try and boost further the revenue.

A nice confidence from the company to re-introduce interim dividends too.

i also note that diluted earnings per share is just covering cash flow per share, so all in all cash inflows as far as I can see is covering the expenses.

All in all a good company of the fledgling markets. We just need Directors to increase further their holdings!
Nice to see the broker upgrades to a buy today

if anyone notices any mistakes or queries in my research then I am happy to receive positive criticism

I am bought in and will remain a hold. Currently the RSI on the daily is showing over sold, so I will be watching this price with care. but a good results and a good day.
