31/7/2013 00:03 | Encouraging to see some big buys going through in the last hour or so today. One 500k buy, one 400k buy. | gargoyle2
30/7/2013 15:25 | Becky - Try setting your monitor page to display mid-price rather than the latest AT or UT trade. This will eliminate the effects of quirky closing auctions. | boadicea

29/6/2013 11:40 | I think IC updated last week, but I was on holiday in Italy. I'll check........ And here it is - although Simon Thompson might well update again on Monday:- "Home > Shares > News & analysis Trifast generates tasty returns Trifast (TRI) turned 40 this month, and the maker of industrial fasteners has celebrated with its biggest profit in five years. Relentless cost-cutting has boosted margins and the acquisition of Malaysia's Power Steel fed the top line. Double-digit earnings growth is likely this year, too, given self-help potential and the quality of business being won. It was the 160 basis-point increase in operating margin to 6.6 per cent, rather than modest revenue growth, which generated the 45 per cent surge in underlying pre-tax profit to £7.3m. Shedding unwanted warehousing, making fewer deliveries and lots of small savings, mainly in its UK heartland, made the difference. Revenue here was flat, but underlying operating profit grew 51 per cent to £4.1m and, in Europe, an 8 per cent rise in sales doubled profit to £1.1m. Trifast replaced legacy contracts with higher-margin business. Supplying car seat makers, Lear and JCI, and American dashboard manufacturer, IAC, is relatively secure work and highly profitable. Yes, a couple of big contracts went to Chinese rivals, but Trifast has only scratched the surface of Asia's automotive market and has plenty to go for. Most of the 25 per cent jump in revenue there was down to Power Steel. Broker N+1 Singer expects adjusted pre-tax profit of £8.1m in 2014, giving adjusted EPS of 5.3p (from 4.7p in 2012). IC VIEW: Trifast's management team is in a confident mood, with more savings and fatter profits tipped to drive further growth this year. The shares, however, trade on just 11 times forecast earnings, a significant discount to peers. Buy." | alan@bj

27/6/2013 07:49 | am sure simon thompson will update on the results which were in line with his forecast. | manrobert
27/6/2013 01:48 | What are people expecting here in terms of share price? The results were excellent, but the price is still on a historic PE of over 12 and a forward PE of 11.4 (assuming the N+1 EPS forecsast is accurate). I wouldn't say that's particularly cheap. Having said that, I'm betting that the 5.1 EPS forecast will get revised upwards before too long. I'm a happy holder here BTW. | gargoyle2
26/6/2013 21:40 | Ok this is getting hopeless....such good results and hasn't moved a bit! I'm fearing for a drop, then I'll get real mad. One would be reasonable to think of of bailing out till they see how this goes. | blondeamon
