20/9/2012 13:02 | Any news from the AGM? | gargoyle2
19/9/2012 16:54 | AGM tomorrow, I expect it to ba just as positive as the August trading statement, in which case we could see a break out of this trading range. It's surprising that one year ago at the AGM, the share price was 40p, But TRI seem much stronger now with the share price only 15% ahead of one year ago. Looking forward to tomorrows statement with interest. ic2... | interceptor2
17/9/2012 03:37 | In fact, just checked -- my first buy was in July 2010 at 32p. | gargoyle2
16/9/2012 13:42 | I'm long here, cfro. Started buying 18 months or so ago. The board know what they're doing and as you say the last trading statement was very positive. The value will be recognised in the end. No great hurry as far as i'm concerned. | gargoyle2
15/9/2012 21:48 | Taking a look at TRI tonight. Share price seems stuck in a trading range and could breakout either way and when it moves it seems to move quick. Was running a set of Zulu sieves on my september Company REFS and TRI is top of the list with a very low PEG of only 0.3. Even tho the share price is in a trading range the relative strength against the market has been strong over 3, 6 and 12 months. Also cashflow is very good. They have given shareholders an extremely bullish trading statement too. | cfro
18/8/2012 13:01 | Share magazine has TRI as a buy recommendation this week, along with AIE, CHG, COST and MCRO. I'm unable to copy the article but I will type up the conclusion below. Buy @ 42.5P Trifast's (Tri) is as a global market leader in industrial fastenings. the firm's interims released last week revealed trading had remained ahead of budget in the April to July period, as demand from the automotive sector of the UK and Europe drove business and electronic activity in Asia remained robust. the company's plan to increase margins via better supplier sourcing and diversification of mix has further to run as its second three-year plan kicks into gear. A price/earnings ratio of 9.5 to March 2013 looks attractive, as consensus forecasts see earnings per share rising by 13% and 14% this year and next. There is a much larger section on Tricast and of greater interest, one point that is made is the resurgence of the UK car industry and the excellent opportunity for Trifast. The Trifast Sales Director sounds very excited by future potential orders and says "The vibrancy up there is just phenomenal" ic2... | interceptor2
13/8/2012 14:58 | Broken through resistance nicely CR | cockneyrebel
10/8/2012 07:56 | I added yesterday - seen this in the past with TRI, muted initial reaction to good news as a seller clears and then it motored. CR | cockneyrebel
08/8/2012 13:50 | I topped up today as well, positive momentum in earnings is usually a good sign for the medium term and we should be seeing some upgrades coming through in the next few days. | daz
08/8/2012 08:44 | Electronica, How about "exceptionally positive" is that better. I'm in the process of updating my notes on TRI at the moment, and so far I like the look of them very much. ic2... | interceptor2
08/8/2012 08:42 | The bit I like is the following: Focus The 'doomsday' effect from the incessant flow of media negativity towards global economics is actually serving to motivate our people to becoming 'fanatical' about transactional margin improvement and removing wasteful activities and expenditure. The Company as a whole is relishing its successful recovery since early 2009 and has no intention of allowing its current dynamics to slip. For example, each business team is now competing with each other on achieving the highest percentage of trading profit reflected in cash. The focus on 'Continuous Improvement' is absolute, as is the objective to offer more product choice to existing loyal customers. As a result, two new extensive product ranges have now been sourced from low-cost manufacturers and will be promoted strongly in H2 of this financial year. Telling the doomsayers how it is on the ground and to get stuffed with their negativity. What a breath of fresh air! | superstardj
08/8/2012 08:26 | interceptor "positive" is a very low key take on today's statement. I've rarely seen a more bullish set of comments from an industrial company & certainly not from TRI. | electronica
08/8/2012 08:24 | Nice bullish upbeat statement today imo. Nice chart too imo. CR | cockneyrebel
08/8/2012 08:18 | Brought in here this morning on the back of positive AGM statement. Had taken my eye off TRI, but the management team seem to have turned them around very well since 2009. Still look undervalued and ISAable. ic2... | interceptor2
13/6/2012 10:03 | Im awaiting finals hoping to recover price a little im on a bit of a loss with this holding at the min.. | sl1981uk
13/6/2012 09:40 | sl1981 TRI is currently out of fashion - along with many other small cap industrials. This is a news flow dominated share & we have the finals due to be released next Tuesday (19th June). I expect "better than expected" news with these figures. | electronica
13/6/2012 08:47 | Been a bit low this for a while anybody still in? Out or topping up? | sl1981uk
21/5/2012 11:12 | Massive dip whats going on... | sl1981uk
17/5/2012 20:24 | This dip recently looks like a top opportunity to me imho. | choppa

21/4/2012 14:29 | If the above link is blocked, you can try to search the article title "FT US inflation provides a profitable clue" in Google, and find the valid link from there. | ivyhuang
21/4/2012 14:14 | Always trust the TRI BOD, they followed their plan and delivered what they said. Will we get div, I thought that was also part of the market consensus. | ivyhuang
21/4/2012 02:36 | David Schwartz in the FT today. Should give the share price a boost on Monday: Another pleasing report came from Trifast, the industrial fastener group. In fact, I was riveted by one element of its announcement: Trifast stated it was comfortable with the City's consensus estimates for its profits. But the consensus pre-tax profit forecast for the year ending March 2012 is 88 per cent higher than the previous year's, and the consensus forecast for the year ending in March 2013 is another 40 per cent higher. Growth of this magnitude is generally followed by whopping share price advances assuming the company delivers the goods. In my experience, Trifast's new management team consistently underpromises and overdelivers. | gargoyle2
18/4/2012 19:20 | Reinteration fron Singer for TRI today ........ courtesy of UK Analysts ... "Singer reiterated its "buy" recommendation for Trifast (TRI) with a 52p target price. The nuts and bolts manufacturer said that the integration of its Power Steel acquisition is progressing in-line with expectations and the broker believes that further capacity utilisation will be achieved in the 2013 financial year. Singer's earning forecasts put the shares on a prospective multiple of 10.8 times for the 2012, falling to 9.7 times in 2013, which the broker noted is a 15% discounted to the UK capital goods sector. Trifast shares advanced by 0.5p to 45.5p." I believe that they are understating the synergistics from Power Steel & am also expecting more from the "self help" iniatives in sales & input costs. My own 12 month target is 60p+ | electronica
17/4/2012 07:56 | Update issued Unexcitingly steady progress - which is reassuring in these volatile times. | boadicea |
