24/6/2016 18:13 | Really sad day for the UK - indeed quite possibly the end of the UK. On the plus side, there should be plenty of new work for Scottish Civil Service IT systems and possibly even unified Irish systems. No point crying, Triad, get up there, open Scottish and Irish offices! There will be many relocation's of investment banking jobs to Glasgow (it already has quite a number) - get up there before anyone else does! Ireland has already taken on 200 extra staff to process Brits trying to get Irish passports - this is an opportunity! | netcurtains
24/6/2016 15:44 | I was just lucky that the spread narrowed and managed two small purchases at 31.02 31.5. But last one was difficult, had to use a fill/kill. It doesn't take much volume to move the share price | interceptor2
24/6/2016 15:34 | Was a quote at 31p to buy small but missed it. Not paying 34p it's too much a bigger difference | annonymous2
24/6/2016 15:33 | No idea, I guess that it is just reacting to more sellers than buyers so far, which is welcome because I have just bought some more. Didn't expect to be able to buy again in the low 30s. | interceptor2
24/6/2016 14:23 | Is this a over reaction to the vote or is there a genuine reason for the correction here atm ? | annonymous2
23/6/2016 12:53 | Just give it a little time, there's no rush, slow and steady is always better in the long term. | battlebus2
23/6/2016 10:54 | current PE now 4.9 lol | netcurtains
22/6/2016 20:12 | spooky: The annual report suggests TRIAD will be issuing "share bonuses" for these new employees - From report: " We believe that we are now in a position to undertake a significant strengthening of our base of permanently employed consultants. To this end, the numbers of permanent employees will be increased in order that the Group can receive the benefit of the natural longevity of their relationship with the Group, underpinned by contracts of permanent employment, share options and other benefits. Without altering the final price and therefore attractiveness of our offering to the client, this will enable the Group to retain a significantly higher proportion of gross profits. " Will Triad have to go to market to buy these share options? And if they do will they need to issue a RNS statement? Is it possible one of those 350,000 deals was a TRIAD share buy back? Just guessing... Any views on how these options work? | netcurtains
22/6/2016 19:53 | Stop using two threads folks...the other one is more established and includes the bare essentials (chart and recent news) so please just use that one. | nasdaqpat
22/6/2016 17:07 | red army: I also added recently. | netcurtains
22/6/2016 12:06 | Just added to my position | red army
22/6/2016 09:16 | I think that the move to increasing the number of permanent employees is very important, it will have a significant impact on profit margins going forward. I'm not sure that the market fully appreciates the affect that this will have on the bottom line at Triad. | spooky
22/6/2016 09:11 | PJ1, Of course, however, if you expect Triad to do equally (or better next year) then its pretty obvious that it should be trading at roughly £1. The whole sector, not just CGI is round about PE14 - if its doing well, PE18 (winning contracts). Triad is historically low because it reached £3 when launched and there was some 'goings on' which are now all history (literally) but market does not know it yet. Triad are now a "normal" IT firm like CGI and will pretty much soon be treated that way - £1 trading range is fair value. | netcurtains
22/6/2016 08:46 | Or you could argue that CGI is overvalued compared to its rival? I well remember buying INSE an a circa 14 p/e and hoping for it to rerate to UTW's 25 P/E Today, INSE trades about a x12 p/e/ whilst UTW has dropped below that. My main point being that comparisons are only a guide as sentiment, growth history, Director communications and holdings, sentiment and many other factors make up a Market valuation. IMO | pj 1
22/6/2016 08:35 | interceptor2: Triad employees sit next to CGI employees. They do the same work. So if you want to do a FAIR comparison for like for like PE ratio it would be CGI: PE 18.42 (its Canadian owned - Before that it was Logica). Triad are three times undervalued compared to its main rival. Triad really ought to be trading at about £1 a share. | netcurtains
22/6/2016 08:03 | That is a fair way to look at TRD spooky, must admit that my calculation hasn't allowed for cash on the balance sheet. | interceptor2
22/6/2016 07:49 | A good chance of 40p today imo. | blueball
22/6/2016 07:47 | I2 - I have them trading on a cash adjusted PE of about 6.75. | spooky
22/6/2016 07:37 | My initial target price is 80p and then review after that. | red army
22/6/2016 07:37 | I think we have to be careful when we just look at the current PE of 4.68 for Triad, because this is using the the headline EPS figure which includes a large tax credit. If the tax credit is discounted and a normal tax charge is applied then Triad are trading on an adjusted normalised current PE of 8.6, which still highlights great value when you think what TRD could achieve this year, as I tried to conservatively highlight in post 595. However I do think that TRD fundamentally and technically are an exciting prospect and now with the overhang perhaps removed now, there is a good chance that we will continue to see a powerful advance here. | interceptor2
22/6/2016 06:40 | If you want to do a general compare of TRIAD to all the other shares in the same sector before you put your money down its easily done. Here is the list. Pick out the shares with lower PE ratios than TRIAD in this sector. I'll warrant you'll probably find none. In the table Tracis is the one above Triad, its PE is 32. WANDisco is below, it makes a loss (negative PE). Bigger player Anite - PE of 8 and that is low, but still double Triad (not a bad investment in its own right). Most commone PE is about 14 (that would make Triad a 3 bagger - should get to £1). Imagine if Triad was valued like this company (PE 150 - to get to that Triad would need to be a 30 bagger!!!) | netcurtains
21/6/2016 20:46 | Good post on the other thread and shows how undervalued TRIAD is. netcurtains 21 Jun'16 - 19:36 - 60 of 60 0 0 Stats for Sanderson - a typical IT company in same sector as Triad. It also makes a profit of about £1M Its PE ratio is 23 Its Market Cap is £43M Triad makes a profit of about £1M same sector as Sanderson. Triads PE ratio is 4.5 Triads Market Cap is £5M Lets face it, if the market ever values Triad anywhere like Sanderson we could be potentially talking about a 10 bagger. | effiert
21/6/2016 20:46 | Great example. i will put it on the other thread also | effiert |
