I would be quite happy to have the dividend.

An ultramodern 100% gold/antimony producer that must surely be worth 50x what it is now. SPMP current valuation is a ludicrous £8m acc to Tstr mcap of £1m. Wait for £400m and a subsequent cash buyout of tstr stake for 50p per share. Shares available tomorrow for 2p, last chance to lock away a 6- month 25 bagger

I think the majority of AIM punters don't want to get married to a private company, regardless of how much money it will throw off in dividends in the not too distant future.

Yes the plant seems (IMO) 90% likely to be fixed and move to full production in the next 6 months, after it seems that SPMP have got their $120M extra funding. It's not fully guaranteed though, something could go wrong technically. There are also political/legal risks if the Oman govt tried to wipe out Tristar, what do they care about a small British private company? I suppose it might be seen as negative publicity, discouraging other foreign investors etcNevertheless these are normal investing risks which have been present for years, and surely can't justify Tristar's ludicrously low valuation. So I agree that TriStar seems like an amazing bargain at < 2p, and I have bought some last week (more than I intended). But I'm wondering now whether it's slightly too good to be true... And how Odey might try to shaft the small PIs...NAI

The plant in Sohar has recently reached several important milestones, including the successful production and sale of 500t of antimony and gold dorĂ©. Sheikh Nasser Al Harthy, chair of the Board, said, “On behalf of the Board, I salute the work accomplished by Joel Montgomery and the team at SPMP over this difficult period to position the business for success. We wish Joel all the best in his new role.”
The appointment marks a new chapter for SPMP as it embarks on an ambitious production ramp-up programme. SPMP has recently completed the restructuring of its long-term debt and secured the additional shareholder funding required to achieve full capacity at its Sohar facility.
With the appointment of Joel Montgomery, the Board of Directors confirms the Company’s strategic ambition of becoming a leader in antimony production.
Joel Montgomery, 46, is a seasoned mining professional with 23 years of experience in the mineral processing and manufacturing industries.
SPMP is aligned with Oman’s strategy to provide job opportunities for Omanis and has progressively increased its Omanisation rate since inception to reach 42 per cent, with 6 per cent females, exceeding the minimum 15 per cent Omanisation requirement for a freezone company before 100 per cent production.

Yes but that looked like a panic sell by to me given the price they took. Odey has been selling in a sensible manner.

Someone wanted out in volume, took what was being offered. Undoubtedly will be sold back at a nice markup for the MM, but that's how you make a market.
