I'd be disappointed with anything under £1 which is still giving it away cheap

One of the nice guys on the other side going by the name of UrbanFox has just posted an amazing attempt at valuing our stake in SPMP which I strongly recommend. Stuff of dreams

Nice recovery today. Those idiots on the other board spent most of last week deramping the rise and the buyout rumours and guess what? They've all turned bullish all of a sudden now that they've bought back in after selling on the spike. They're as transparent as water. Anyway their antics are a sideshow. I'm pretty sure the rumour has some legs and we are about to find out what price the Omanis will pay for our stake in SPMP. After all the money and time we've spent on it I don't think Odey will let it go cheap. Somewhere around £75m would be a minimum which would translate into a very handsome return for shareholders.

Bitter old men indeed. They need to hurry along and pass the coolade around quicker.

The trouble with these boards is that they're usually inhabited by stale bulls who've bought in way too early in the cycle and have been worn down by the subsequent drop. They then turn bitter towards anyone that manages to get in at lower prices. You just need to look at the other board to see how a few bitter old men can manage to spread so much negativity even when fundamentally the prospects look quite good from these levels.

The company silence is deafening especially with the takeover rumour flying about.

Got a feeling news is not far away here. Looking at the wording of the last update there seems to be a hint that the arbitration may not run its full course. That can only mean the parties are looking at coming an amicable agreement. Also the delay of interims without specifying a reason points to something brewing. However they decide to resolve it it's a win win for shareholders. My money's on a buyout of our 40% stake at a significant premium to the current share price
