Trafalgar notes the significant increase in its share price today and the announcement of the appointment of Dr Paul Francis Challinor as an Executive Director, with immediate effect. Trafalgar confirms that it is not aware of any other material commercial or operational reason for the significant increase in its share price.

Has the Professor been brought in to working on a new hydroponic program?

Board Appointment

Trafalgar is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Paul Francis Challinor as an Executive Director, with immediate effect. Dr Challinor is a renowned and respected, early-stage pioneer and executive manager who specialises in the construction and management of indoor hydroponic vertical farming facilities and in the food security sector.

Dr Challinor together with Gary Thorneycroft, Trafalgar's Chief Financial Officer, were co-founders of Jones Food Company (JFC), which owned and operated, at the time, one of the largest vertical farms in Europe. A majority stake in JFC was subsequently sold to Ocado in 2019.

Commenting on the appointment of Dr Challinor, Paul Treadaway, Managing Director of Trafalgar said:

"We view Paul's appointment as the key step in the development of Trafalgar's long-planned hydroponic division as he is a UK pioneer in this high growth market.

The Board believes Paul's appointment which has been in negotiation for some time, will help Trafalgar to re-invigorate its hydroponics strategy. Paul's experience and expertise together with that of Gary Thorneycroft, will greatly assist Trafalgar in realising its aspirations to design, fit out, build and where appropriate even operate hydroponic assets."

Seller was out when they cleared them when letting others buy in at 0.4505p earlier all showing as sales.

I made a nice few quid buying at 0.4-0.45p first thing and offloading for double+

But that does not mean the fun is over, they will probably raise money but that is not right now so chasers are bonkers in this market it might just keep going for now
