25/8/2021 13:56 | Hi Sleveen, Yes, both in the past. Bream is certainly a little heavier in terms of texture. I’ve eaten freshly caught Bass and Bass snared in my wife’s trolley at Sainsburys. Like chalk and cheese, although not literally of course.. Fresh Bass has better texture and taste than the stuff at the fish counter, as you’d expect. Mind you, there’s less need to hastily change the menu when you plan to eat the stuff sold in the shops. Many a time we have planned to have fish that evening, only to have to revise our plans when I was responsible for bringing home the bacon. :^} Buffy | buffythebuffoon
25/8/2021 13:15 | Frankly I wish them well as it’s the best way for more big drills to get to the island and more available testing equipment. The 400 API in the release just seemed high. | davidblack
25/8/2021 13:10 | David, generally speaking, oil with an API gravity between 40 and 45° commands the highest prices. This well had oil with 48° wich is light oil. It is defined as light oil if it is over 31.1 Coho will produce about 1600 boed and that is as you say 20 x this Saffron well, but oil is worth more than gas. So it is not 20 x in return | 1domus
25/8/2021 12:56 | Saw that Challenger on their Saffron well this morning hit “Oil” and are producing 81 barrels from the Cruse there. But it’s 400 API which to me sounds like gas. Can someone enlighten me as their release doesn’t mention gas. Also it sounds at 6,000 cu feet to a barrel to be circa 0.5m mcf pd or 1/20th of Coho? Or is my maths wrong? | davidblack
25/8/2021 11:58 | I had Bream on holiday in Turkey - one of the best fish I've ever had. So smooth and tastes a little like chicken - not fishy like tuna or salmon | thebull8
25/8/2021 09:23 | buffy Ever taken freshwater Bass and Bream for the plate; any good? | sleveen
25/8/2021 09:07 | It’s all very well to reproduce these grand letters of the government pledging this and pledging that, but we have seen close to zero benefit in real terms. The T&T government have not exactly had much effect on the glacial pace that Shell have moved at when it suits them to. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
25/8/2021 08:46 | hbr Thanks for the update. So not long to wait. | sleveen
25/8/2021 08:44 | It was due to the closing price being an uncrossing trade at 84p | awise355
25/8/2021 08:39 | Blatant effort to take the price down | roundup
25/8/2021 08:15 | Down 3% despite only one trade popping up. This is usually a sign the MM are looking for stock for orders | thebull8
25/8/2021 07:30 | CEG released their "successful" Saffron 2 testing results today. Managed 81 bopd. Had trouble with wellbore stability. . | pro_s2009
25/8/2021 07:10 | Re Seismic, Xavier said this in a tweet back in December: 'Processing of four 2D lines of these lengths usually take no more than a month..usually less.. interpretation..haha - prob 1 hour..we know what we are looking for!' | homebrewruss
25/8/2021 07:05 | Bernieman The fantastic data has to be processed then analysed to make sense of the strata. Probably take 2-3 months or so for the whole thing. | sleveen
24/8/2021 16:12 | No doubt they will have nice crisp images but in the end it’s the drill that makes to event and for that we have to wait till 2022. | davidblack
24/8/2021 15:18 | The new bit of insight Paul offered in the interview, was that they got back the 22km of seismic and that data 'looks fantastic'. Although the data was never to change the drill location or timing of Royston, I'm assuming they now have better sight of what they are actually drilling and the fact he's saying it looks fantastic, implies an increased confidence of Royston's potential success. Assuming the seismic did cover the drill area? | bernieman
24/8/2021 14:22 | Hi Spangle. I think we have heard all we will ever hear about Chinook-1. Yes they paid for Schlumberger and Baker Hughes to consulate, they have those notes and will keep them company confidential. The drill in balance as much as possible, and it seems whilst Cascadura and likely Rosyton this is ok, the geology at Chinook would likely be better drilled under balanced, and drilling under balanced is not something done in Trinidad. There was also questions raised over the use of Barite in the drilling mud, and this perhaps caused the formation damage seen at Cascadura and Chinook. Hopefully with lessons learned the drilling mud being used for Royston is "optimised". Cascadura was still cleaning up during the final flow testing....and it will likely continue to clean up during initial production and add quite a few more mmscf/day when the well bore is optimal. With regards to the Chinook Cruse, that was not a target pre-drill. However as domus says its extensive and therefore, in the future, they could drill loads of shallow wells and tie into Cascadura. Its low priority, however now they have flow and pressure data and can put this into the geologic model to find sweet spots for future exploitation. As for Chinook - its clearly stated as an oil discovery - and they have 2 prime locations 1000 feet updip vertically to drill in 2023. Forget Chinook for 2022, it will come back into mainstream in 2023 when those updip oil locations will be drilled. | pro_s2009
24/8/2021 14:21 | The new drill seems a good bit quicker if it went through 3300 feet in 10.5 days. Hopefully it will do the job without any drama. | davidblack
24/8/2021 13:27 | Ado - back in circa 2018 during preliminary discussions with Shell T&T about using their Central Block nat gas processing facility to tie Coho in should it prove a success, Shell freely offered their seismic and Central Block drill logs to TXP. | mount teide
24/8/2021 13:01 | Great info MT I don’t know how Shell’s seismic stacks up but it looks like they could revisit this at a later date if TXP has success with the deeper target. Interesting that they were looking at deviated drilling. Had to look that one up to check use | adon30 |
