Something could happen sooner.............

In that respect I am suspicious as to why the NGC deal is not signed.......is there something going on already and Shell or someone has requested TXP to go slow and not sign into any NGC deal yet ?

Lazarus, yes........but I think Shell would try a lower offer first to test the water and see the response. 300p to 350p with the view that they could increase to 400p if not accepted.

ODR, I think as an initial offer 300p to 350p would be what Shell might offer to test the water......... all being well of course and progress as planned in Q1, ahead of Royston drill.

We would then see if any bidding war starts.

Pro, if Casc deep is a success with only Royston remaining, that would be 4/4 successful drills. I think PB would continue to drill Royston unless there was an offer that he could not refuse! I would consider £4/s pre-Royston as that sort of an offer, however with the 20+ targets mentioned to follow Royston, realistically we could be heading to £10+ in time. aimho dyor gla

I believe, once Casca Appraisal/Deep is drilled and tested along with Chinook testing, that Shell or one of the big boys will make an all cash offer before they drill Royston.

That is a very real strong possibility now....... and will add to the excitement going forward now.

I say again a closing price with a £1 at the front is fine by me .. round numbers are always difficult to get through as blinkered target price sellers seem hypnotized by them

Another great result from the team. Like you KS I did plenty of chelping about the placing but held on and indeed bought many more. If we get to the heady highs of 400+ this will be life changing for many long termers. Have a great day all.

Stockport Loser, just like Heaton Norris Rovers, you should think about changing your name. :^}

The main question is becoming clearer after every discovery. How long will, how long can, PB run this.

Personally, I would love him to take this quite a bit further down the road before selling out. These don’t come along very often, and at his age, I imagine this would be the crowning of a tremendously successful career.

A calm assured leader, measured with his words, always under promising and over delivering. What more could you want in a CEO.

A tremendous amount of credit goes to the back room team, who clearly have carried out a tremendous amount of work to shape the direction the company has gone in.

Spangle and others will be acutely aware of the gap between conception and successful execution. That comes from choosing and adding when appropriate to the team, both back room and operational.

I remember how excited I became when Soco had their run of successes. It felt a little like a rollout of a successful retail operation. Familiar set up, rinse and repeat.

More complex in hydrocarbon exploration of course, but it feels like we are well on that path now.

Yes, I’m getting excited.

Hell, even JonnyT sounds like he’ll have an extra rich tea with his PG tips today.

going to be interesting to see where we finish today/this week after the news has been digested and traders have taken profits. Without the test results it's still just a gas find without any info on commerciality based on flow rates. That said it's the standard sand deposit for the area so lowish risk. I was expecting that we should be looking at 125-150p on a successful Chinook, but without test and flow rates maybe we will be c. 100-110p +/-

GLA and well done for those of us in since the early days and pre-AIM!!
