This reminds me of Tesla,, I had shares in Tesla and bought them at less than £100 a share,, then the news came out regarding the auto pilot death and I bottled it and sold instantly,, go and look at Tesla now, biggest mistake I made,, I won’t do it again,, a little bit of uncertainty and we all run for the hills, not me

Clearly, this news raises uncertainties for some but one should look beyond the headlines. This is about making the NHS more responsive to government dictat - principally when it comes to how COVID-19 should be handled.TLY and other efficient and proficient operators will benefit handsomely from this process

The NHS will always need companies like TLY. For those that do not understand this, either do not understand how the NHS work or do not understand how TLY, or indeed similar companies work with the NHS.

Not true. The Irish healthcare system is also a customer plus the prison service.

The company will not put out an rns

The nhs will always have suppliers.

Will they need and want TLY.

I believe they will.

Nothing has changed. TLY only has 1 customer but that has always been the way.

I think the reason that the share price has gone up so much recently is because it was considered that, no matter what happened with the pandemic, TLY services would always be in demand. But now the leaked document means that thesis is not watertight.

I took profits too early at 29p - suspect others will take profits tomorrow even if the company does put out a 'damage limitation' RNS.

Public sector workers, unions, politicians and the public do not want private sector imposters in health and social care

Sad but true

Don't forget Boris Johnson, Simon Stevens (NHS Chief) and David Cameron went to Oxford uni together.

Boris already went against Cameron on Brexit, so it doesn't surprise me he is anti Stevens as well. Ego springs to mind.

TLA,

Feel free, it's your money. If the share price falls to 25p, I will load up big time. People don't understand the business model nor the NHS.

The NHS is disjointed, postcode lottery... It needs to improve and be uniform across the country.

Competitive tenders for healthcare, where the contract is awarded on costs and not merit should not be used within healthcare environment.
If contracts are awarded on merit then TLY, with their proven record and CQC rankings will benefit.
The problem at the moment is one CCG will award a contract because it's within it's budget, whilst the neighbouring CCG might not.

Covid has shown how NHS 111 was crucial in helping. If anything I think the proposals will speed up the rollout of bigger contracts, which is what Boris wanted to do when he came into power, before the country was hit by the pandemic.

It was the reason, I believe, why TLY bought GBH in 2019.
What is in the proposals was already known about but were delayed due to covid.

TLY are in the right place at the right time.

New IUC contracts being rolled out over the next 2 yrs...

Create Integrated Care Systems everywhere by Apr 2021.

"In the meantime, within the current legal framework, the NHS and our partners will be moving to create Integrated Care Systems everywhere by April 2021, building on the progress already made. ICSs bring together local organisations in a pragmatic and practical way to deliver the "triple integration of primary and specialist care, physical and mental health services, and health with social care. They will have a key role in working with Local Authorities at level, and through ICSs, commissioners will make shared decisions with providers on population health, service redesign and Long Term Plan implementation."

Problem is some do not read and only listen to the main headlines.

This will be a game changer for Totally as would be given contract on grade standard and not just lower price.

They will have more freedom to collaborate.........what if that collaborative agreement is to give TLY the contract for an entire region or nation and with no need to re-tender unless the CQC rating drops. This positive view is just as likely as your negative view.

Any changes which help improve the NHS and healthcare for everyone are welcome.

We've been here before many times. TLY have seen 3 PMs, changes to NHS and crucially have adapted each time.

The proposals are nothing new, see post below.

So awarding contracts on merit instead and getting rid of red tape and the need to tender out is good news for TLY,

sikhthetech - 01 Apr 2019 - 10:29:20 -
If contracts are now awarded on Merit rather than competitive tender then I think
CQC's high ratings should help TLY...

"Clinical Commissioning Groups should have the flexibility to commission services to suit local need, not to suit competitive tendering regulation and without the fear of having to pay out millions to private providers for falling foul of existing legislation, as has been the case in recent years.

When government rhetoric is centred around integration within the health service, independent providers bidding on time-limited contracts sits entirely at odds with this philosophy.

Only by removing the requirement to put service out to tender, can local systems work together to ensure cohesive patient-centred healthcare.

NHS England's ambitions here are clear, and we strongly recommend parliament take forward these proposals and push through these legislative changes."
