Well if anyone thinks Russia will stop at Ukraine then they are sadly mistaken.
As the west sits back on meaning less sanctions Russia will se it as the West is not interested. the same happened in Europe before with another country that wanted to dominate.
History now repeating itself.

If there is no news or the prospects are unfavourable, the chairman's responsibility is to advise investors formerly by this weekend of what is going on - no guessing, no assuming just the straight truth.
Failure of the chairman to explain the position must cause investors to question the whole situation and have doubts about the future if indeed there is a future.
The chairman will also be aware that his role may come under close scrutiny. It must be hoped that BDO as auditors are examining the records and the directors' representations with exacting thoroughness.

A couple of days until the next self-imposed deadline is missed. It will be missed because pursuading a third party to take on 100% of the risk of a massive technical project when the directors are prepared to take none is untenable.

Investors do not need to be reminded that the two senior directors of TOM are chartered accountants and the chairman is senior non exec director of Baronsmead VCT.
THEREFORE investors should expect TOM to be managed to impeccable standards and that a careful and watchful eye is maintained over the MD.
HOWEVER some investors may have reason to doubt if this a soundly managed operation for reasons which many have cited here for years.
How many times has the doctrine of benefit of the doubt been applied by investors?
Unless satisfactory news is released as anticipated, how can TOM continue as a sound business entity for the foreseeable future.
It is time therefore for the chairman to stand up and be counted - he must demonstrate that TOM has an achievable future or capitulate to the forces of failure. He must be wary of the impact that he may face from loyal investors. And if BDO have doubts about TOM's future, they MUST inform investors in black and white.

Listened to BBC radio last night -they advertised a podcast "Sports Greatest Crimes - The Trillion Dollar Conman"

It was incredible to listen to and hear the stories people were prepared to believe - without questioning and what a man got away with.
Sven Goran Ericsson joined league 2 Notts County and thought they would be buying their way to the Premier League. He even went with the Conman to North Korea to seal a deal for all NK's mineral rights....
It sounds like fantasy when you hear it.

A lesson in how gullible many , many people can be.

There will be plenty to discuss shortly because the financing heads of terms will be ready - days now. These will be the terms where the financier takes on all the new risk of the technically difficult project, the shareholders risk is already fixed and the Directors have no risk whatsoever because they have put no cash into TOM.

It is just not credible.

Goulding, do you think Russia will stop at Ukraine. nope it will be Poland and on to Germany.
The EU need to stop incoming gas as it will be cut of by Russia anyway.
But as most don't like conflict they will sort of turn a blind eye to it at their peril.
This has the steps of WW2 about it, just take bit at a time.

you read in the Western press, forget it. I was in contact with a friend in Donetsk all day yesterday. She said there was a war going on, bullets and bombs all night. Remember everyone in Donetsk/Luhansk is Russian. They have now been evacuated to Russia for safety. Most of the firing was started from the Nationalists (Ukrainians). Ukraine is of no consequence to the USA, about 16000 live here. As one American professor said The USA has the Midas touch in reverse, with its Foreign policy. This is another one.
