I'm sure they've probably used cfd's or the like to hedge or sell short they're holdings. I don't trust any bods these days as they're in it for themselves and not their shareholders. Saying that, if they do anything crooked on the USA market they'll be banged away for a very very long time.

I havnt traded tils since it left Britain. But ive predicted its share price fairly accurately so far, especially the last three weeks.Bods not to be trusted though. As much as theyve bought in a few times, it means nothing. They have the means to get the financial returns, you dont.
