19/3/2007 18:07 | For waht its worth I think Tin is fine.If the powers to be are happy to buy in shares at 40p they should be up for buying a few more now.For that reason alone I do not see much downside with this one. I think as time goes on the figures will show and therefore the market will ackowledge that Tin is a well run , well positioned company. While there will always be problems with contracts, they will lose some business and gain a lot more. They are now a major player in a UK which is a big market. There are endless tv programmes to be made and they have the expertise and the facilities to do it. I do not see Ludlow getting the chance to buy at 25p.Ever. | robsy2
19/3/2007 15:42 | 'wait 2 weeks'? - just over 1 hr actually - think it used to work with delboy checking engine oil levels, still O'Grady could probably use it. on past performance TIN not a share to instill confidence but could be a good little sleeper | gurp

19/3/2007 11:26 | you can filter him too bookbroker...only Sat69, who started this thread, can ban him here...which of course would be a double joy! | scotswhaehae
19/3/2007 11:20 | Filtered , the bloke keeps popping up from behind the parapet. | bookbroker
19/3/2007 10:59 | Patience required imo...there are plenty of sellers about and stockmarket conditions remain adverse... We should see these fall back further with the uncertainty of BBC contract problems... A joy to have that ludlow3 filtered! | scotswhaehae
19/3/2007 10:45 | not looking good . | ludlow3
19/3/2007 09:17 | Yeah, and so much for your filtering ability, it strikes me as somewhat surprising the extent of the fall, I am curious that the market places so much value on the e-learning contracts, the costings that the co. factored in must suggest the margins were material. | bookbroker
19/3/2007 08:51 | post 479 is still my strategic position...we shall see | scotswhaehae
18/3/2007 17:50 | Private Investor: My mistakes, misfortunes ... and Brian By Sean O'Grady Published: 17 March 2007 First, I'd better offer an apology. Last week, I said that the oddly named Tinopolis TV/new media production company hadn't yet won the BBC contract to make Question Time. At about the time I was writing, the Beeb awarded the Tinopolis subsidiary Mentorn the £5.5m contract to make Question Time for another three years. Not only this, but the BBC has also commissioned Mentorn for multimedia work around News 24. Trebles all round at Tinopolis, then. I had thought that the commissioning process would take much longer and I should have checked on what was happening. So I did Tinopolis a disservice, and I'm sorry about that. I guess I'll also have to do the honourable thing and buy back the Tinopolis shares that I sold, and hope that the damage to its reputation has been thereby repaired. I must say, its PR folk were very non-threatening about the mistake, unlike some, and if only for that reason I'm happy to make my apology almost as long as the original article. This, you'll note, is some way away from journalistic practice in other publications, where only tiny acknowledgments of horrendous and embarrassing libels are ever found. So, I hope that I've absolved myself and recommend all readers to take a good look at Tinopolis's prospects. | lbo
16/3/2007 15:20 | The Contract is less then 6% of turnover and if the contracts are broken Tinopolis get compensation. The BBC is looking at fresh proposals on how the BBC can meet its public purpose of promoting formal education in the context of school-aged children and Jam is only suspened in the interim. The company and funds are buying all these cheap shares and I expect to more another buyback announcements. Where did the 4.6m shares that Blackrock just bought come from?? The EV is now circa £15m and on a foward EBITDA of £3m gives and EV/EBITDA of 5. The mms are laughing at the PI and filling orders for someone! LOL | lbo
16/3/2007 15:05 | Given the effect of this news on the company I feel that they ought to have asked for the shares to be suspended at the same time a they released the rns. Once again the SFA fail to act. However BBC kept the wraps well on given the recent buy backs by the Coy. | pugugly
16/3/2007 14:42 | now lets get down to making money , very sad for those that bought at 40p plus but it will get back up and beyond with management talking to people instead of ignoring them, now all the best to holders, | ludlow3
16/3/2007 14:32 | that last sell was luck to get 30.5p next week 18p 20p if lucky, | ludlow3
16/3/2007 14:07 | bid now 30p | ludlow3
16/3/2007 12:22 | More buying to come IMHO! (And we know you did not sell for 40p but a lot less!) LOL | lbo
16/3/2007 11:11 | more bad news to come, | ludlow3
16/3/2007 11:04 | closing the spread they need buyers . sorry fools.sell. | ludlow3
