02/11/2021 18:17 | Too make matters worse for Matt Moulding he cant leave his office due to insulate britain | senseibull
02/11/2021 17:58 | Im apprehensive about making any more price calls right now but it didnt shoot under today! The bots came back at the end though I guess. Possibly for the aftermarket buyers | senseibull
02/11/2021 17:44 | I still think this is a short and distort attack in the absence of any financial issues.Go google it. The definition mayaswell have THG wrote next to it now | senseibull
02/11/2021 17:37 | MM messed up by attacking the ‘shorters̵ ‘Knows of no notifiable reason for the material share price movement’. The removal of the special share. The recent upbeat TS. You then have GS and Sofina having both increased their holding. Little of it makes any sense and which is no doubt adding to the general jitters. If Utd win tonight, this is going up tomorrow. Time for a pint; and a win... | mcmather
02/11/2021 17:18 | Ok so those after market buys are HUGE today | senseibull
02/11/2021 17:17 | Yeah its non binding but its 18 months from May 2021 with a potential extension for up to 6 months more. iirc anyway | senseibull
02/11/2021 17:06 | I think the Softbank deal is a non binding time limited option - if they thought that was a realistic price, they would be buying up shares at a fraction of the price - particularly the discounted Blackrock shares. At some point they'll have to be a statement from THG about a change of plan, but every time THG make a statement, good or bad, the shares drop 20%. | space_bob
02/11/2021 16:56 | The softbank one is fairly simple. I doubt they will renegotiate but the option wont go through till end of 2022 after theres been a chance of recovery | senseibull
02/11/2021 16:51 | I think all THG need to do is just continue with their plans and provide updates with clear view on revenues, growth and profits. | senseibull
02/11/2021 16:47 | hatfullofsky or hatfullofhollow.. | essentialinvestor
02/11/2021 16:47 | I dont think it is a good sign to be honest as it confirms that the board think this is a accurate price and fair value. | senseibull
02/11/2021 16:45 | Not good but still no RNS on Blackrock | hatfullofsky
02/11/2021 16:36 | Closed at days low 197.40.Hmm | sbb1x
02/11/2021 16:27 | I think this is going to bump around in the £1.75-£2.10 range for a while. It could be the new year before we see some serious movement, though that isn't far off if you're patient. Director buys will be a good sign that the fire sales are over. | space_bob
02/11/2021 16:07 | Great airline poor food though | senseibull
02/11/2021 15:54 | Mmmm. Dubious dealings and disclosure, Goldman involved - who would have thunk it? 🙄 Anyway, Atalanta part 2 has my attention today... | imastu pidgitaswell
02/11/2021 15:42 | Ima, I had wondered whether BR are selling other positions. Has liquidity tightened there recently... 29 Oct 2021: "Meet Alister Hibbert, one of BlackRock’s best kept secrets. He’s the money manager whose hedge fund has enriched the firm, its clients and himself with a near 370 per cent gain over the past decade. Hibbert’s name is rarely mentioned within the walls of the world’s largest asset management firm, and many employees don’t even know who he is..." The above piece having been written by a "Nishant Kumar". Coincidently, a 'First Name: Kumar, Family Name: Nishant' is detailed as 'Job: Portfolio director for BlackRock'. A tad incestuous perhaps. | mcmather
02/11/2021 15:40 | You should be a journalist, least your painting a wider picture of blackrocks | senseibull
02/11/2021 15:15 | Personally I wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. But in terms of why Blackrock are selling now, there were a couple of comments on the article in The Times - which make sense, insofar as them selling for a third of what they could have got until recently makes any sense: Possibly Hibbert selling? He’s having a poor year x x x Suzanne, I think you have nailed it. Hibbert has recently stepped down from the Euro Dynamic and the Continental Euro flexible fund to focus on his Strategic Equity Hedge Fund. Presumably his successors noticed that his holdings of 67m shares in THG were not only heavily underwater but - rather more importantly - both funds are supposed to be invested in non UK companies! I hope that anyone invested in these funds sues Blackrock if this is true......Now there is a real story people at the Times (although I sometimes wonder if they ever read the comments) I just offer it as I read it today - I don't even know who 'Hibbert' is. - presumably the Blackrock fund manager. Mind you, given Blackrock are also selling Polymetal at current prices, that they do some very poor fund management doesn't surprise me at all. | imastu pidgitaswell |
