Softbank will surely walk with the shares at this level?

Why would they go through with their investment with the overall value of the company down about 75% since they agreed hots?

You can console yourself with the fantasy that BR has sold up to plant trees and build windmills, but personally I have my doubts. They were second biggest shareholder and had the chance until very recently to sell at a large profit. Maybe they have a policy to reduce exposure when they take a 50%+ loss. Problem is that other ii's may have similar policies. The only positive I can see is that some ii's have been topping up.

What about moretrees?

Still doesn't explain why they would not have been selling here earlier in 2021 and transferring larger amounts in to 'green' companies.

Edit; beat me to it Sense!

Reminds of the Provident Financial smashing about 18 months ago. This will probably return to 300-400p in a few months. First they just need to short it to 100p as everyone panics.

BR’s last TOP UP - just 2m below their highest holding with THG - was 29 Sept 2021. There’s been no adverse news since (34 days). That one of the ‘family’ - GS – is involved just adds greater scepticism for me re this transaction. This doesn’t strike me as being THG related - why not start disposing earlier in 2021?? - but more BR related.

195 will be floor imho. They have taken it down from 800p so think the tranche at 195 will be the last

I agree hatfull, but we've been saying the same since £4. Blackrock might not be the last ii to offload. I'll be happy if I buy back in at £2.50 if it's going the right way, but I fear the bottom could be £1.80.

Well I'm out, mainly because I see a better very short term opportunity elsewhere. Plan to get back in very soon. There's a chance there's more bad THG news to come, but I think some director buys could help it turn the corner. They'll have been aware of Blackrocks plans so that explains no recent buys, but they don't really have any excuse not to buy now if they see today as the bottom.
