DavidYou should really look at the trades King Street is doing, they are the party that actually put bid in Macdonald is just the front. They are keeping the share price down, another bid pending..

Go and look at homeserve their first offer was the preliminary one, thats how it works.You have to remember MM mentioned in the results many parties interested and we have rejected some offers, at the time they did not release the takeover code, but now they have.

The 170p that was offered was from recollection 'highly indicative preliminary offer', from a THG NED and without any due diligence being performed. That's the only actual possible bid received, candy's is just even more speculative noise. I'm waiting for someone to actually offer a firm bid, if this is really that compelling! Either MMS shaking out weak hands or the view is firming up for no bid. Doesn't mean they won't restructure the company in due course but not in the current timetable, which would mean we drop down and really test out weak hands. PS. really saddened to read the vile comments being exchanged back and forth here. No need for it. Ppl should look at what they wrote here and consider if they'd say that at an investor meeting in person before typing out hate speech

Bids will only come to light towards the 16th. And most likely deadline will be extended for further negotiations. Exactly like Homeserve! The proposals were only made aware to the market on deadline day.

We talking about Billions of ££. This isn't ebay! Due diligence, game theory, everything is at play.

Absolutely nothing has changed. Only that we are closer than ever to game changing news! Yes in the meantime some loose hands will get mugged off there shares!
