The rise has been driven by shorts closing not much genuine buying.
Even if no bid materialises (extremely unlikely IMHO) it does not mean the shorts will return.
Yes it will dip but it won’t last long.
The huge short positions won’t return as the risks of further bids are far too high especially after RNS confirming a bid at 170p.

4X4..I've been day trading it.. not back in cos I get that double bottom feeling in my left testicle.. if it begins the drip like CCL just did, to retest last lows.. I'm thinking THG could retest lows if this bid doesn't develop regardless of who's taking stakes in the company.
I'm happier waiting for the weakness before the skirtlift to £5.17

Don't want to take a chance at the moment if this doesn't develop..I'm sure the market will wait for me.. they know I've seen the books.

Close of business last Friday 22.8m
Close of of business yesterday 4.9m
Likely a time lag reporting on LSE register.
Every source has a different absolute number but the speed and direction of travel is universal.

The longer the shorts try to fight it, the bigger the squeeze. We know they are rapidly closing in a controlled way, at what point will they throw in the towel.

1 RNS and they are completely toast.

With 50+ RNS's this week highlighting the shenanigans going on, i'm sure plenty of contacts will be deleted from Matt's phonebook. He now knows who his real 'friends' are!
