You should have asked whether there is any actual intention to sell on mouldings part or whether inviting bids is a ploy to get the share price higherThis will open down 2% I reckonCertainly isn't going near 1.70

Here's a true tale. Iwas in Mnr in 2009. Low ball bid at 50p. Sp immediately rose to 50p. That put a floor under share price 6 weeks later it was 125p. I made a big profit but missed out on 180ks profit just 6 weeks later as low ball flushed out real value. With 3 bidders.....and only the offer from one of them in the public domain, MM ia going to use these bids as a share price floor to rerate...

Newbie who joined the forum this week says they are worth 50p.
Ex FO at 20:20 Logistics said last night Mat thinks the company is worth a tenner.
It will be somewhere in between..
My guess is around £4.17

It certainly isn't worth a tenner. I am simply telling you what Mike Bennett told me last night. He looked sober to me.

The firm is well placed to fend off unwanted takeover bids, having appointed City heavyweight Charles Allen as chairman in March to rebuild relations with analysts and investors.

Moulding continues to hold his golden share despite agreeing to give it up after pressure to address governance concerns.

The golden share means Moulding can still block any takeover offer, and thus any bid will need to secure his approval.

But it hasn’t stopped several interested parties from circling, eyeing up the possibility of a cut-price takeover following the slump in its share price.

In its results last month, Moulding said the company had received takeover proposals from ‘numerous parties’ but had concluded every approach had been ‘unacceptable’ and failed to reflect the value of the business.

Others believed to be interested include private equity firms Apollo and Advent International.

No idea what the share price will do today but after a really tough few months being a THG shareholder and an Everton fan the future seems a whole lot brighter and bluer this morning....😃

As a shareholder I'm very happy to see the interest. However the scumbagery is only beginning. One bidder is a board member and keep in mind MM is a massive shareholder and has a veto...with his golden share. His interests and other shareholders are no longer aligned. He may well favour a low enough bid knowing its better that most of have as an option (so will take it) and low enough to make him a fortune later ie why would he want to have his share too highly valued...as any bidder will seek him to carry.
