How they even could deramp a 2.5b company without any TA and fundamental knowledge? I don't get it.

Pre yes I have a recent profile and only post on THG. I trade through Barclays investor (cash only Positions) like the opportunity presented by THG, but the shorting is a concern. I can take a punt and maybe I’m procrastinating my entry price. But the trade pattern on THG is excessive £8 to 1.80 with no material negative change in info from IPO (maybe floating beauty, but sales up). My concern is why are they pushing short so hard - I think many surprised how far this has gone and all feel bounce time

I used to day trade years ago and be on Advfn, made big money corus but got caught with invensys position. So I know like many mistakes in this game expensive.

I think good debate like support prices more helpful than buy buy sell sell ramping

You can blame it on shorters but the share prices won't go up unless people buy it.

Considering it "surely can't go any lower" as has often been said on this thread, where are all the buyers who can see how great this company is?

And getting a bump from Black Friday? Seriously? You can pin your hopes on this but it's not like the market doesn't know of Black Friday's existence. A good Black Friday will be factored in. So if the numbers come back good it probably won't move the price very much.

However, if the numbers come back poor then this will probably collapse even further than anyone ever imagined. It's already down 73% so is anyone going to be shocked if it ends up at 140p?

On the flip side though maltajellied, as an IT professional myself I agree with what you say about being micromanaged.Working till 8 is fine though if the pay is worth it. Depends what they are paying them and if they hired guys with right work ethic.People who work for THG have been commenting online on youtube about ingenuity and they say its good.

Yep is an unfortunate fact. The shorts are controlling the price, I should have realized back in May after the softbank announcement. Sold straight back down with force, lesson learned.Perhaps he will delist eventually.

Senseibull sadly no matter how illogical a share price is if the big boys decide to short - more often than not they win (money talks) and they collude

I was looking to buy as short tracker showing reduction but your post says wait - if 94 million shares euroclear shorted say only 50% available for loan stock. That’s nearly 15% available stock shorted- average daily trade 7 million shares (don’t forget some buys are shorters pumping and dumping) the average volume needs to increase significantly to show change in direction closing shorts etc

My view is good trading update will rise but be shorted into. The market is on a downer on Thg, boo, asos, jet

I like most want in and not to miss the bounce but bottom fishing a falling knife is dangerous (averaging down is expensive strategy). Yes when they reverse they will do well - if you look last years Black Friday cyber Monday update was the following Monday - so If same again the update Monday - any weakness in figures will be exploited. But logic says the shorters know about black Friday sales peek and they are not blinking.

Good luck - I hate the whole shorting manipulation.

But buy sell points who bloody knows (except the billionaire boys). With deeper pockets than pi’s

Your post on Euro clear

Just checked Euroclear, loan of shares in THG increased in November to 7.85%

7.95% 94 million of THG shares are on loan

Says a lot about company culture that many reviews talk about being sneered at for "going home too early" at 7pm-8pm.

Silly presenteeism which may work short-term for young, inexperienced employees but professionals won't stand for it. Therefore they will struggle to attract and retain the experience they need.

Cant judge a company based on glassdoor, people always have a reason to complain and theres barely any reviews for an employer of 7000 imo but fair enough appreciate you answering

The business sounds like it's a bunch of companies purchased with borrowed money and taped together crudely. Reviews on Glassdoor paint the picture of disorganised chaos and the investors conference a few weeks ago didn't calm peoples' fears.

The market does not like this share and until I see some significant upwards movement then I'm going to assume it will drop more.
