It would all depend upon whether govt's would step in again like last time. Some people did very well during last lockdown. I don't think you'd get another stamp duty holiday or as generous furlough support - not least because unemployment is so low now. Public services are on their knees after years of cuts and some businesses are carrying alot of covid debt - so resilience is an issue too.

Nah we arent going back to March 2020 we have evolved since then. We are starting to mitigate and change the economy now.Cities dead, towns and especially villages thrive an e-commerce wins out. Food delivery services rocket again etc. Outside dining becomes the norm whatever the weather

Wishful thinking! If there are more lockdowns and the virus variant is found to be more resistant to vaccines then very different to last year and this company wouldn't be immune.

Ironically this seems to be safe to hold right now still. the fact its oversold might be a safe haven for others to park their money

I guess THG is a bit harder to judge as the IPO was after the lockdown last year and there was a bit of post IPO hype around the stock. I'd have thought nutrition and ingenuity should benefit, but beauty and experiences (hotels/events) would suffer.

My thoughts too. Nutrition is definitely boosted in lockdown where beauty is affected. Depends if they close nightlife again

Hoping this has further north to go but how did THG end up a lockdown winner last time around when beauty product sales generally took a hit as fewer people were going out?

Return of lockdown winners. Zoom up 7% pre market etc... I don't think you can say turned corner but until we know more about this new variant, markets will sell off but lockdown winners will likely hold ground.

The market is nasty. Ingenuity can help most businesses become better online operators. This should gain from here.

What's crazy is this is good news for thg! There will be even more pressure for online shopping. It's just general market sell off. Probs ends significantly blue imo.
