21/11/2021 13:28 | SRS- I wouldn’t bother borne is a deramper That means they are paid by hedge funds / institutions to spread negativity on a share so they can short and buy cheap. This has happened a lot for THG The reason he is accusing you of having multiple names like mug is because that’s what they do, for example he is also 12toes etc They appear when a share is about to go up significantly as we saw on Friday with Thg | ![]() sentimentrule
21/11/2021 13:22 | In terms of Softbank option, that really only becomes an issue if the share price assigns any value to the Ingenuity business - which the CEX argues the share price does not at present levels. Back in May, the FT was reporting the Health and Nutrition divisions had a value of £2.7bn - and in the GQ article, the CEX states the health division alone now exceeds the market cap of the entire company! Tbf to JB, the market will continue to discount this stock until an independent chair is appointed and the corporate governance review is completed. It doesn't matter how much you smash your numbers if minority shareholders fear they will be heavily diluted by overly generous share awards. In that respect the GQ article wasn't helpful...... ''So, at the moment, the plan is I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing, I'm just going to trade through key peak trading period, smash our numbers like we've always been doing and, you know, I’ll take a view. Equally, it doesn't have to... we do have other options in terms of I'm a big shareholder – more than half of the business is owned by me and a few people that I'm close with.'' These comments may well have been misreported, but as a minority shareholder, that reads as though the interests of some shareholders may in some circumstances be placed above others. I don't believe the CEX meant that - the business is said to be in great shape, thousands of jobs are being created and millions donated to charity - but it does highlight the need for a strong and respected independent chair to provide some added reassurance. | ![]() indomie1

21/11/2021 11:08 | The Hut Group Dominates Black Friday 2019 Kelly Kirkham Kelly Kirkham Follow Jan 7, 2020 · 3 min read Retailers around the globe spend weeks, and oftentimes months, planning for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and The Hut Group (THG) is no exception. To celebrate our team’s hard work, dedication, and perseverance, read on as we #humblebrag about our amazing accomplishments as a team and the incredible technology used to support these momentous 120 hours. Welcome to Black Friday Black Friday represents the biggest project of the year. Due to expected growth and traffic in 2019, we anticipated that this year’s Black Friday could possibly be the biggest project in THG history. Black Friday marks as an especially important event because the infrastructure and hardware improvements that take place prepare THG for the year ahead. For example, the entire THG platform enduring a system-wide resiliency check to be sure that the system can handle increased traffic for the full 120 hours. In areas where resiliency did not meet our expectations, additional hardware and networking equipment is installed to carry not only the traffic for Black Friday but all of 2020 as well. The full-system assessment marks as a particularly important Q3-Q4 event and as such each THG employee is involved in Black Friday planning and prep. Planning & Preparation Since September, 163 individuals have taken part in Black Friday preparations. It all begins with the THG data science team estimating the traffic load the THG system will endure during the Black Friday event. Once estimates are in place, it’s time to test the THG platform and solidify network and hardware requirements. After the infrastructure replacements and upgrades are in place, our teams can test the systems to be sure that absolute redundancy can be achieved for both in-house and edge deployments. The THG platform sustained three system-wide load tests from 9 AM to 5 PM, an entire workday. Resilience was tested at 3 to 4 times the expected traffic levels to be sure that should an outage occur in one geographic location, customer experience would not suffer. The analysis is made to not only estimate the holiday traffic surge but also as a risk assessment to attempt to anticipate potential cyber-attacks throughout the peak traffic timeframe. Black Friday Results After running continuous shifts of up to 200 people at a time, 24-hours a day on all critical departments, it is safe to say that THG dominated the Black Friday weekend and our platform, infrastructure, and team knowledge are exponentially improved having done so. With 100% uptime across all THG ecommerce websites and blogs, we were able to execute the most successful Black Friday in THG history. When it came down to showtime, the weekend was executed with style and precision. “It was actually a quite dull event, which is a great thing for Black Friday. Due to the organisation of our teams and our thorough planning, we had actually over-prepared for Black Friday weekend,” explained Jon. Traffic estimates provided by data scientists were remarkably accurate and allowed for perfect preparation and orchestration. Total traffic saw a 53% increase compared to Black Friday 2018. Impressive THG 2019 Black Friday statistics: 14.2% increase in requests per minute than the 2018 Black Friday weekend. 53% more increase in total page views served than the 2018 Black Friday weekend. 2019 Black Friday saw a 75% increase in total mobile traffic and a 58% increase in mobile revenue. The THG platform had 15 million total users on-site, an increase of 42% over 2018 figures. Final Thoughts Overall, The Hut Group far surpassed every Black Friday we’ve experienced so far. According to the Project Manager; Hafsah Asmat the success of Black Friday lies within our extraordinary teams. She explained, “It has been such an achievement to see everyone’s work come together to meet all of our goals — especially when so many of our competitor websites went down.” Thanks to all who made this exceptional project possible. Black Friday 2019 will live in THG history as a breakthrough endeavour… at least until 2020. | ![]() market whispers

CEO and Founder, Matthew Moulding said: “I’m pleased to report a successful Black Friday, delivering 95% growth in Sales compared to Black Friday last year. This performance was underpinned by both the operational execution of our people and the quality of our operating platform in delivering a first class customer experience across the globe. We’ve invested £230m this year to deliver a step change across our infrastructure, launching two brand new purpose built Manufacturing and Distribution Centres (UK & USA), and significant expansion of our HQ campus in Cheshire, as we created over 1,000 new jobs in the year. We are well placed for 2017 and plan to make similar substantial infrastructure investments over the next 12 months, which should support future growth and significant new job creation.” For more information please contact Viki Tahmasebi – viki.tahmasebi@thg.c Notes to Editors The Hut Group team & Ambassadors do the #MannequinChallenge on Black Friday: | ![]() market whispers |
