Less competition Earlier this evening Pizza Express announced it will close 73 restaurants and cut 1,100 jobs after being hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.The company, which currently has around 454 restaurants in the UK, said on Tuesday it has finalised a proposal to reduce its restaurant and rental costs via a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).

Proposed ebitda £8.9m in sept vs previous year 0f 7.8m - 12% increase, 4 months of shut down and still in the black, war chest to capitalise on new sites coming available that are fully fitted out? Nice! IMO share price should move to 15p quite quickly so long 2nd lockdown doesnt come

Yes I have been taking advantage of that blinder of a deal but lunchtime, it evenings, as much quieter.50% is excellent, hope they extend it into September to boost the sector

James O'Brien has just name dropped Franco Manca in Chiswick on LBC with some very positive comments on quality, and said it was chocka.. I'm sure observing the s.d. guidelines.. due to Rishi Sunak's scheme coming into force. Fingers crossed share price on its way back to double digits.
