Do we know what they will do with the cash when or if everything is liquidated ?

I think they believe the sum of the parts is not fairly reflected in the valuation...and it would appear with the majority of assets visible and relatively liquid they feel the discrepancy is the valuation of their operating assets i.e. WGPRobotics seems to be attributed no value though obviously that may change if a deal is struck. So they are currently profitable with just over 100p in asset value per share....so I presume any disposal would enhance shareholder value through giving net liquid assets well over 100p.Agree on robotics...though it does look a potential game changer needs lots of investment.

Does anyone know why they are actually selling WGP? It's obviously a nice little business and management have indicated that they expect 2017 to be better than 2016. With the oil price in the toilet, can we really be sure we'd be getting the best price in putting it up for sale? What I would have rather seen was for Thalassa to retain WGP, but to focus on either selling ARL, or maybe entering into a JV with another entity that has the financial muscle to bring it forward.

Right now, my worry would be that the moneymaker WGP gets sold, and that the proceeds are put into the speculative ARL venture.

The current market value of Thal is £15.5m. Assuming they sell WGP cash/debt free, they'd have cash of £6.1m and an investment in LSR worth £6.1m. So there's about £3.3m in for the sale proceeds of WGP. That attributes no value to AR and their investment in Papua

Any ideas of valuation based on wgp revenue in 2017 forecast to be around $15m which is at the bottom end of the range provided.

Finally get an update. Should have a final decision in the next few weeks. How will the share price react?

To take to this next phase the board must be convinced that the interested party is both serious and that the terms would significantly enhance shareholder value imho.Interesting that the same party would be interested in investing in robotics...there would still need to be significantly more investment in that arm to take it forward but if a benchmark valuation was placed on it by industry may be easier to secure further external funding.Think robotics in for nothing on current valuation so will be interesting how this side develops.

Well their Papua interest although relatively small is having a good move up as they drift....Need some news of subsidiary disposal or some decent contracts ..all gone a little quiet.

The price appears to have been drifting since I made the 'pants off' comment. Just in case if it is related I'd like the market to know the pants are firmly back on!

Church House link - They seem to have been beating themarket for the last 2 years but 5 year record is diabolical (imo) So lets hope they are making better judgement calls with THAL. Much will of course depend at what price they started accumulatiog.
