If it holds above 50p then it could easily go to 60-70p too early yet to tell

Well they seem to want your shares at present - just had a quote to sell above the mid price; long may this change in sentiment continue!

I suspect it is Norwegian Licensing round related. From the 17 December RNS:

Norwegian licence round . . . potential multi-client data sales relating to that round . . . could generate significant revenue for Thalassa

Surprising tho given the continued conflict in Ukraine?

I have just averaged up on my 13 Feb trade. I agree, the chart is bowling up. Rather interesting times.

Yes, indeed - looks like the move up today is decisive.

there is a note of caution, cash has fallen from

June 14 $21m

Nov 14 $15m

so dont know what current cash may be and take into account the buy backs.

The buy backs dont seem to be in the market either

It does look like a good level to be buying. Effectively, the business is valued at zero, which in my book, offers more upside than downside.

A good buffer to have the company buying stock but they will not be chasing it up.
I'd guess on very weak days with size available they will pounce.

had some of these today, $15m cash, NAV of over £1 and hopefully conclusion of some sales for the Artic and off the back of the Norwegian licencing round.

Back long with this old friend just now. I agree with the thoughts posted here this morning.

Technically, the chart looks to have bottomed. If a new low is made, I would be out. However, the set up presents what I consider a very attractive risk/reward ratio. There is lots of share price recovery to go for.

With 25% held by DS and the disc trust would be over 10% of free float.Fortress also been increasing (small ) the largest institutional holder with 13% odd.

Interesting with such a low shares in issue - £1mln available so could potentially buy up to 8% of the shares to hold in treasury

Seems DS is drawing a line in the sand with the start of a share buyback?Big discount to book Discount to last reported cashNorwegian licence round underway could lead to significant data sales?Ukraine peace( big if it holds?) could see early role back of sanctions ( see Kerry quote last night) which could open way to previously agreed large Russian Arctic projects being back on.The Arctic is massively important to Russia and the short term weakness in oil price unlikely to deter further assessment in the area if sanctions lifted.Seems some stability in oil prices for the time being too.

Russian stocks surge on Ukraine accord...a step closer to the end of sanctions? Is the massive Russian survey contract still a possibility?? Long way to go but this could be a turning point?

Must be trading at below cash now. Market cap is about $14m and they had $21m at the half year. Broker forecast is a loss of $400k* which means a small ebitda loss of about $250k in H2. Can't see any massive unwinding of working capital/capex that would account for $7m. That means effectively no value for equipment/working capital/IP/business.

* All this is pre non cashflow provision against Russian debts and loan to Trust Fund.

Time to buy is probably when there is a deal on Russia and sanctions look like being lifted. Share is so unloved it probably won't react much.
