Given that all the large trades you mention did not affect the price, it is likely that they were sales between institutions. Fidelity have just notified that they have increased their holdings by 1.3 million

Big Vern - One question you must ask yourself is why when all stocks last week moved 20%+ this moved barely a couple of ticks.

I wouldn't rely on these trades to indicate anything apart from stock being cleared. Could be read as a stock overhang that had been holding price down and now cleared.

In recent days seen similar big sells on ito and chw before they popped.

Hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for your comments. I'm only in on the chart and if there is a reversal I'll be out on the chart. The breaking of a chart level is significant and will lead people to short the share like me.

As ever time will tell.

Very large sells of over ONE MILLION shares near the close sounds like someone understands the significance of being below support

I have no position in this stock, and no knowledge from within the company, but I do know a bit about the industry.

TFG is an ACADEMIC publisher. Academic publishing is a very unusual business, one of the most recession-proof I can think of. It is completely different from commercial publishing (eg St Ives).

When I looked at the stock a while ago at 575p I thought it was fairly priced and would be neither a buyer nor a seller.

Best of luck.

Short from this morning.

Don't be offended by the tone of matthewa's comments. See ya at 3.50 is just a tgt. I'd say 3.80 would be the best on this down move. Like everyone else on this bb I make up my own mind and shorted on the chart, which shows a clear break of support at 510 and no support until 430 ish.

A receding tide grounds all boats.

Kenmill, - I think the sharp fall in the price of this stock on Friday, and the further fall yesterday morning(?), came before anyone on this BB (or on other BBs I've looked around) made any comment at all, unfounded or not...
