06/4/2017 11:03 | Maybe of general interest to some..?? Having tried to clarify (to no avail) the position on my TPL holdings (Isa & trading acct) with my current broker I contacted TD Direct and received the following answer: "Thank you for your recent email. I have looked into your query and you are able to transfer your shares to us free of charge for you transfer your shares to TD Direct investing. You would have to open up a Trading ISA with us and a Stocks and Shares ISA with us for us to be able to facilitate a transfer. In relation to your TPL shares you are correct the stock does delist on the 2nd of May, we will be able to facilitate trading these shares. We have a bulk crossing that we will do on the 25th of April. What this means for you is that your shares should be with TD and settled in this time frame, so we can facilitate the change. If when the shares come across and you have the London listing we can do a cross boarder for you, but this may incur a charge." The second para is particularly interesting as it gives a cut-off for their 'bulk crossing' date. | clive_h

06/4/2017 09:08 | I read this headline on ADVFN news and thought no, it cant be!.......... .........and then read further!!!! It was a company called Wells and Fargo. | temporarily insane
06/4/2017 09:04 | I see that more trades are going through NEX than LSE lately. Any reasons why? Yesterdays waste of time......... | temporarily insane
06/4/2017 08:59 | I see the buy price is at 1.72p this morning !. Slow creep up !. | hguess16
06/4/2017 08:56 | 1399Peter, I think the 2019 time frame for payment gives enough time to get output to high levels if a couple of wells spout more than a few million barrels. TI, The only the share price is going to take-off is if we see oil gushing out of the new wells and the money rolling in. | hguess16
06/4/2017 00:29 | ANYTHING TO GET US OUT OF THIS BLOODY SHAMBLES OF A MANIPULATED SHARE PRICE!!!!!!!!! Its a damn disgrace to the shareholding community!!!!!!! | temporarily insane
05/4/2017 23:50 | hguess Perhaps Tethys could get CNPC/Great wall to spud Klymene for them and pay em later. | 1399peter
05/4/2017 19:43 | To get back to Tethys and their intent stated in the Fin Accs ; AND Action taken to date' Here is what I perceive : - resolve the CO's current issues in Kaz, incl disputes with EGG and Olisol * Action - Scheduled Court Case in Alberta and further legal action in KAZ - Work with the Company's new partner in Kaz to market the Co's oil and gas for better pricing and obtain funding from a Kaz bank to restructure loans and fund Ops. * Action - New Partner Prax-AK ?. - Complete the process of restructuring the Company's loans which are falling due in 2017 * Action - Rescheduled Cayman to 2109, Outstanding - AGR energy - Seek drilling partners or other investors, to fund drilling ........ * Action - Great Wall Drilling for 10 wells - Continue to evaluate farm-out or other value realisation opportunities with respect to Taj and Georgia * Action - Possibility of farm-out/Sale to CNPC ?. - Continue to review and implement further restructuring and cost optimisatin across the business * Action Close Almaty and move to Aktobe City - Maintain and increase shallow gas production in the near term and drill for deep gas in the medium term ...... * Action - Study in progress !!. | hguess16
05/4/2017 18:12 | Casual Maybe it is time for the LSE to re-consider a merger with TMX/TSX which was on the cards some time ago now that the merger with Deutsche Borse is off. That would make things easier for UK investors and would also give the LSE scope for expansion following Brexit !. Xavier Rolet should contact TMX and start negotiations !. | hguess16
05/4/2017 17:18 | What the hell, let's just invade Canada again. They clearly need us. | casual47
05/4/2017 17:14 | What a hopeless bunch of PIs over on Stockhouse... One guy bought a million shares, then shared a link to Tethys Oil, then goes on about oil (on which TPL has lost money for the last X years), then talks about the 1.4 million Kumar funding which he "just read that to" in response to a poster who seemed really excited about this fact he just uncovered: "Someone ponied up $1.4 million U S to help TPL stay afloat. they picked up a huge wad of shares for next to nothing. they must be believers." Yes, such strong believers that all they "ponied up" for A FIFTH of the company is a measly 1.4 Million USD. Which they may have earned back twice over just on selling TPLs oil which they got at "10% above Olisol" prices, i.e. peanuts. No wonder the TSX has been such a sluggish miserable manipulated pile of manure for TPL. Burn it all down and move everything back to LSE, I say. | casual47
05/4/2017 15:08 | Wrighty, Thanks. The buyer may have to wait a bit longer and it might also mean paying a higher price as the range is now 1.25 - 1.75p. Yesterday the 200k was bought at 1.5p. | hguess16
05/4/2017 14:56 | 1399Peter, If 1.6bn is correct, I would be surprised if Tethys is likely to farm/sell the interest !. I've got a suspicion that perhaps that figure is overstated. Tethys now says that they would like to focus on KAZ assets !!. I think something is fishy !. Why have the partners failed to produce any oil so far ?. | hguess16
05/4/2017 12:27 | There's another big buy order being worked since Monday. Price is moving up on sells to try and fill it and discourage and pi buying. Get a feeling our buyer may be getting impatient.GLA | wrighty46
05/4/2017 12:00 | hguess I am happy with 1.6b if that's correct. I have had a little look around at oil in the ground valuation and it ranges from 20/c to 80/c but ultimately it depends on what someone is willing to pay I suppose. | 1399peter
05/4/2017 11:46 | Take note management. | temporarily insane
05/4/2017 11:36 | Something seems to be cooking as the share price has risen to 1.5p !. | hguess16
05/4/2017 11:33 | As noted in the Fin Results, Tethys are keen to pull out of Taj and focus on KAZ assets, but its not all plain sailing as Olisol will try hard to recover its losses ( monies lent and shares acquired at 10 cents ). They will use legal and illegal means incl their local influence to try and stop Tethys from walking away from what Olisol believes ( ???) are its entitlements incl the AOT which is in jeopardy and the loss of the EGG contract. So being realistic, it's going to be a voyage with quite a few obstacles in the journey before reaching safe harbour !. On the positive side, the court case in Alberta could prove to be beneficial to Tethys on the grounds that Olisol reneged on the IA and carried out illegal acts to bankrupt TAG in Kaz. | hguess16
05/4/2017 11:22 | I think that Robson spent all of that money jetting around the world, staying in the very best hotels, board meetings in Dubai etc rather than it being spent anywhere else, lined a few pockets I suspect as well! | devonlad
05/4/2017 10:45 | Meanwhile its back to this.......... YAWN | temporarily insane
05/4/2017 10:44 | Good comments folks. If the new management turn all this around, as it seems they are starting to do then I have these waiting. I know its not much but I dont throw these around willy nilly.............. S theres something to look forward to....!! | temporarily insane
05/4/2017 10:43 | I think the TAJ resource estimates put forth by Robson have been proven incorrect. Total and CNPC seem to have buyer's remorse over the partnership altogether, but compounded to that, Tethys has not been holding up their end of the bargain. If Total and CNPC ultimately get out of Tajikistan, they simply want to get out with less losses, not more. And Kulob, IMO, seems to be horribly run. They squandered the taxable monies paid to them by CNPC and Total, and paid no taxes on them to Tajikistan. If Tethys wants to use subsidiaries as a sort of protection to the parent company, they still need to have some oversight over them, and it doesn't seem they have done too well in that regard. | benandemmiboo
05/4/2017 10:42 | 1399Peter, Tethys share in Taj is 28.33%. If the Taj Govt is trying to muscle in by insisting on taking 25% of the total franchise, that could take out 7% out of the 28.33%, leaving Tethys with just over 20%. Well if the proved reserves are, as you say, 8bn barrels, then that should give Tethys 1.6bn barrels. I hope all this is credible !. | hguess16 |
