1399Peter,
it is possible that MM's are holding a block of TPL shares and they able to control
the share price by disposing them in a way to keep the price at this level!

TI,
Thanks. Looks like the trades are evenly distributed between B's and S's !

I wonder why the $6m loan extension was not highlighted in the summary !

Rhuvaal - If you do it now, is there a cost? If yes, would they wave that cost for delisted stock? If you do it now, can it be done quickly? If you do it later, can it be done quickly? If there is a delay of X days to get it transfered - are you happy to be out of the market for that duration?

Not too late to switch.

Query from a tired LT investor here ~ my broker Harris Allday deals with both exchanges so do I instruct a switch over now: am I too late? or is there any benefit in staying put in London? Many thanks to anyone

Other takeaway:
1. They only had 500k cash left end of the year.
2. Their bank accounts etc in Kazakhstan have been refrozen. Around 2.5m cash was added to their Kaz bank account in January (presumably for gas sales to ICA) but this cash has been restricted because of freeze.

Almost hidden in the annual results there is this:

"USD6.0 million loan financing extension of maturity dates. The Company has agreed amendments to the loan agreement which had a maturity date on January 28, 2017. The loan bears interest at 10.5% per annum and has a principal amount currently outstanding of approximately USD7.9 million. The lender has agreed to an extension of the maturity date by two years to January 28, 2019. "

Waste of time selling now when all the bad news has already been known to us all for the past few months.

Its all in the past. Probably time to buy in fact.

Lets look forward to the future and and await the positive RNS'

2016 Fin Results
I suppose it could be charitably interpreted as a " past shambles" that will not be repeated anymore !.
Wells/May and the Kumars have a lot to contend with, in bringing the patient in ICU back to the recovery room and then hopefully to reasonably good health !.
At least there is a glimmer of hope re the new moves for the ten well drilling and other initiatives to start optimising production.
The value of the proved + probable reserves is another positive !.

All I can do is wish them all the best with lots of luck for the future !.

Hard to imagine the annual results will be looked at super favorably. Mostly a copy-and-paste rehash of the horrors of 2016. No update re: Kabul and AGR loans, but an update that Olisol has had some success re: the blockage of its KAZ accounts:

I won't be topping up anymore now. Far too many as it is. Nowhere near the amount you lads have though.

I was just thinking out loud about the warrants is all, cheers anyway

1399,
Origin Energy has already done this and I see no reason why Tethys cannot do the same.
It is a forward sale with a promise to deliver at some future date.
I presume it can be priced taking into account interest charges and any other foreseeable risk prior to delivery.
The key is to ascertain what actual reserves are there and has been proved by an independent source !.
Re the warrants, the exercise period is up to three years,so the Kumars can decide subject to clauses specified in the contract re control etc, when to exercise.
Normally the exercise takes place once " you are in the money".

My speculative thoughts reflect on the current share price ( 1.5 to buy ? ) vs the exercise price of 2.43p (3.1 cents).
If one feels confident that Wells/May/Kumars can deliver, then why not buy at 1.5p now which is less than the Kumars will pay to excrcise within a 3 year timescale !.
It does mean greater risk by accumulating more stock an averaging the cost down, but then that is a " high risk/high return " decision !.
Does this make sense !.

Yes, more likely to be the case. But Hey!! It might be of benefit to all if they did, (Oil the wheels and all that).
