I was reading the TD Direct transfer info today, transfer can take up to 4weeks. Is that frigging correct, I thought we lived in the digital age and stopped using carrier pigeons.

If anyone has better info on this it would be appreciated

There must be many companies over on TSX that have a single listing.

In my case it was to derisk my holding. Delisting adds significant risk.

Why were they forced to exit?

I'm glad you have been able to profit from other PIs forced exit, Hguess.

Looking at it with optimism, the delisting should be seen as a blessing in disguise as it provided an excellent opportunity for PI's to buy TPL at a price lower than the Kumars !.
To those PI's who topped up when this inadvertent ( unintended !) opportunity arose,
Well done !.
Who ever thought that PI's would be able to buy in at a price lower than the Kumars's, who rescued Tethys from the villains ( Olisol , when Tethys was on the verge
of bankruptcy with no customers !.

Casual I agree, I have been here a long time and regardless of what people say the share price has always been controlled on the TSX. I think the londonl listing was put into place for the blue sky of Tajikistan, which hasn't materialised. So the prudent step of De listing is probably correct IMO. GLA

It would be a bit of a further kick in the teeth if they release great news after the delisting RNS, when quite a few PIs have already sold some of their holding.

I hope the news will be good but it would really be taking the p1ss if they were to announce a financing deal now, or even worse, shortly after delisting.

I have just heard from TD Direct and they confirm that our account has been set up
for trading the Canadian line for Tethys.

Barclays told me holding foreign shares isn't possible in my ISA or SIPP.

Waiting to hear from them what they *can* offer me.

I think the conclusion we can draw so far is that it isn't quite straightforward and some PIs will decide to sell or will be forced to sell.

iii also informed me that there would only be a currency issue with their online isa , and that it would be ok to trade.

Hi all...been following this board for a decent while but never registered or posted (until now!)..post a bit over on the LSE board. Anyway I hold TPL with HSBC and they have confirmed to me that neither InvestDirect or InvestDirect plus can accomodate trading on TSX.

Thanks 1399Peter - useful to know.I'm waiting on a call back from BestInvest for my SIPP and spoke to Selftrade this morning for my ISA but they didn't find TPL on the TSX as a holding I would be able to trade going forward. From what I see some providers offer limited international trading on a select number of stocks via Crest. What I may end up having to do is set up a new ISA in another provider (TD direct as Dorset64 mentions looks to cover TSX) and then transfer the TPL holding to that. One other point to note is that ISAs can only hold cash in GBP (HMRC rules) so any trade would have an FX conversion each time. SIPPs and dealing you can hold a foreign currency cash account as I see.

Sorry, I missed all the excitement. Does anyone have any experience of trying to buy or sell on TSX from the UK? Thx.

I have just spoken with Halifax and you will not be able to trade TPL once they de-list but you will be allowed to hold in accounts still. Transfers to new provider will be free of charge as non tradable. Once they receive corporate action that is.
