I want this to be a successful oil and gas exploration company who can successfully export oil and gas around the world at world prices.

I do not want this company being sold until it reaches the £££;££££s

TI,Casual,
The C$0.147 offer on 22/9/15 from Nostrum was based on 1 Nostrum share for 69.433 Tethys shares when the Nostrum share price wsa £5.005. Unfortunately, very shortly after 22 Sept, the Nostrum share price was trading below £4 and then went below £3
following the collapse in the oil price.
The current share price of Nostrum has picked up in line with the rise in the oil price and now trades at £4.69.
Unfortunately, Tethys has not benefited from the rise in the oil price for specific
company problems, which I hope will be resolved in the future !.
As regards the valuation of Tethys, I would be surprised if the Kumars' decide to sell in the near term, if and when they acquire 280m shares at an average cost of 2.5p per share.
Moreover, I cannot foresee a situation where PAM would agree to sell their 274m shares at 3p, when their average cost could range from anything between 7p - 25p,
depending on how much they paid for the initial 64m shares !.
It is pure speculation at this stage to consider a sale of Tethys at this point !.

No sign of TD Securities selling to themselves again over on TSX. I wonder if they have run out?

Interesting to see that it has all happened by luck just before the Kumars/PAM vote in a few days.

When POO was above $100/barrel, Sinohan effectively valued the Kaz subsidiary company at $150 million. Assuming the company gets sold at $150m and Pope/Kumars fully dilute then, taking into account $30 million debt, this results in 13.6 pence per share.

Nostrum was prepared to give us C$0.147 per share (9 pence) when there were still only 310 million shares in issue. Assuming Kumars and Pope fully convert (and there is no further dilution) this would now be closer to 3 pence.

So you can see that the "upside" has deteriorated quite a bit, both by the fall in POO (and limited prospect for it going higher than $70/barrel due to fracking) and by the recent calamities that have befallen this company resulting now in a heavy potential dilution should Pope/Kumars fully convert.

But at least, for now there is still a chance of upside, as opposed to having a bust company......

There's not really much to add for now, only share our frustration.

My optimistic view is that while the recent actions of the BOD (e.g. emergency prepayment and doubling of warrants to Kumar initially offered) and what is being proposed at EGM are completely devastating to us PIs(*) I do think they are doing it to checkmate Olisol so that once this is done they are free to start building the company up again.

(*)in terms of influence but mainly by severely limiting how high the share price can go should everything pan out, I expect best case scenario 3 pence and "crazy dream" scenario 5 pence.

Really hoping the Kumars can secure the bank loan prior to the EGM. As one who lost all hope after the Olisol mess, their involvement and current efforts have been a blessing.
As for Olisol, am curious why they no longer are using the KAZ media as an outlet to voice some of their frustrations. Hopefully things are improving between Tethys and Olisol now too.

Dorset, I always gathered you defended Wells/POPE because you have some sort of friendship/relationship with them. I have always understood your stance from that viewpoint, and I accept it. Have seldom understood the posts of Hguess in any shape or form, in contrast.

As someone who is voting in favor of the EGM, partly because I am just shooting for 4 cents USD these days, I nonetheless blame Wells/POPE for much of the mess we are in. He/POPE negated the NOSTRUM deal out of self-interest, and he forced Bell to deal with OLISOL (a company in which Bell seemed antagonistic towards, and which Bell had been willing to take a seemingly lesser deal from NOSTRUM even though it was also less than what he was being paid in Tethys shares).
And while POPE can act like they are being good guys for not attacking TETHYS on some supposedly late payments, it would have been absolutely obscene if it was POPE who tried to put the final nails in our coffin after already crushing us this past year or two with all of its self-serving nonsense. Re: that failed NOSTRUM deal, this was the either/or at that moment: Tethys either accepts the deal or quits payment on its Tajikistan assets. That we chose to do the latter to protect some of POPE's interests is beyond understanding. That I reacted by doubling down, again and again, as the share price fell, also means I show my novice status as an investor all too well.

Yep you are both correct in your posts above and, in general, when something or someone stinks, its normally a fishy tale.

As far as I can see he has not posted anywhere else but here.

He has hardly any shares by his own admission.

He bears all the hallmarks of a paid deramper.

Just my view from the parapet !

Have I spoken to the BOD, no. Have I spoken to former II holders, yes, and I learned a great deal that reinforces, rather than assuages, my scepticism about the BOD. My "tiny" holding may not make a difference, however I will ask you one question since you "understand" the BODs thinking.....

In any event I am not really vested, I didn't pay much for my shares and if I sell now I lose little (as a % or £'s), it doesn't really matter to me, but it should matter a great deal to other holders. You can be BOD cheerleader to your hearts content but you are hardly convincing anyone that you are some great sage of either common sense or investing.
============================================================

Yet another rather strange post from you naimanka, apart from your constant bemoaning of PAM & everything Bill Wells, you simply do not make any sense.

When you first 'arrived' here and after being asked you said you only have a tiny purchase here but have spent hours upon hours researching Tethys, and now time speaking to the 'old' institutions on the request of your brother.

You stated on here that he himself has a sizeable holding so one would had thought, after you tirelessly spending hours researching this share, would had told him to sell up 100% of his investment many moons ago, or on one of the many 'spikes' over the last 12 months but no, you haven't and nor has he.

I am quite sure that if he had held shares & sold out at a loss or at these pitiful levels you would had been straight back on here to tell us all that he has been liberated, but you haven't. Strange don't you think.

I trust everyone and no-one on these boards except for the few that I have spoken via messages on here, and that included casual of whom I don't agree with 80% of his thoughts whereas you, I'm sorry but something just doesn't sit right with me and your 'story' of being here.

We are where we are, I nor anyone can change the past history of Tethys so I/we have to vote on todays standing. I will vote for diluting myself once more as at present I just don't see how TPL can carry on as a going concern without the Kumars arrival, whereas you do nothing but slam Bill Wells/PAM for past performance and advise people to not trust them or vote for the dilution. Your reasoning makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, what do you propose we all vote against and therefore let the Co. go to the wall??? FFS!!!

A great article on Tethys from many moons ago: hxxps://cestandard.wordpress.com/2013/08/01/who-invited-tethys/

Company may have overextended themselves during Robson's tenure, but they were definitely an intriguing company back then.

Naimanka,
The Kumars's stepped in when Olisol and Abramov were in breach of contract and then
followed it up with " Bully Boy" tactics which created a business serious crisis for Tethys !.
All your posturing about how smart you are in the midst of us PI's must give you a great deal of joy !.
Your support for Olisol has been pretty obvious by your continued criticism of the
new team at Tethys.
The fact is that some of us PI's will support the new BOD, following the atrocious and
unprofessional behavior of the former chairman of Tethys !.

Naimanka74 please enlighten us as to what you have heard from your former II holders so we can personally make our own minds up based on facts.

We are all invested here and it is shameful if secrets between us individual PI's are kept. A lot of us have a lot to lose.
