Yes 220p, I can see it over 300p in 3 years so I might take the sharesave up. I made 8,000 on the last one I did, putting the max 500 in.
Problem is I turn OAP in just over a year, so I would need to stay on for another 2 years.

Agree superiorshares that it is better to make your own treats. I try to cook chicken every now and then. Our last dog had kidney trouble and l always wondered if the treats were to blame.

Certain breeds I think lactose intolerant.
The beef is a better option than the dog treats because it's actually cheaper.
I'm going to buy my own beef from my local butchers , cook it and then cut it tnto cubes for their treats.
I will know exactly the quality they are getting then .
Oh sorry yes this is a stockmarket website .
OK if Tesco does not climb ro 3 quid soon ?.
I reckon the 2.55 area is coming.

Strange as it may seem, most dogs are lactose intolerant. The Beef sounds like a better option.

What was the 5p drop for ?
Bet their cheese sales are dropping because they still have my dogs mature cheddar at 3 quid .
The cheese purchasing has actually ended because giving my girl dog a bad tummy .
So I'm buying Tesco sliced beef . I think k it was £2.15 a pack of 4 slices or two packs for 3.75 I think.
Do you know lily's kitchen pork and apple sausages are now £3.50 and there's ten in a bag .
But I can get 8 slices of Tesco prime beef for £3.75
Bloody dogs !
There will be no more . I'm having a hand reared budgie next time .

18BT, are you sure a good use of capital would be to build big new stores?

Just look at the poor return on equity these stores currently generate for Tesco.

Well I suppose you could say that about the whole business.

Unfortunately it has all become slightly circular. TSCO on a PER of 12x with very low borrowings excluding leases. PER of debt @ say 7% is still c20x because of the corporation tax relief, so buy backs are sensible providing leverage doesn't cause debt interest rate to expand too much. Could they use it better to expand stores - well, yes certainly if the planning system allowed big new stores, so their investment alternatives are modest.

This one is behind paywall - sorry:

Are share buybacks a mistake? Overpaying for their own shares, under investing, inflating executive pay and turning British companies into a 'wasting asset' as the funds flow overseas? (Telegraph subscription required)

I was a bit surprised to see them. They have active q management. Will pull somebody off working in the back shop to serve the q and then back to the backstop.

Not a fan of self service checkouts myself.
Try to avoid them at every opportunity.

That's some quantity of shares traded today. I speculate that Citygroup will complete their buyback authority within the time frame.
