What does this mean in English?

I'm not anti vax either. I've had more vaccines in my life that you have brain cells.

Tesco will be a 2022 winner, says Shore Capital

Shore Capital believes Tesco (TSCO) will guide for higher earnings in 2022 as it has more capability to absorb cost inflation than its supermarket peers.

Analyst Clive Black retained his ‘buy’ recommendation on the stock, which gained 1.4%, or 4p, to 294p on Tuesday on a strong day for the FTSE 100, which rose 1.6%.

Black said of the ‘big four’ supermarkets, Tesco looked attractive following strong revenue growth and market share gains, as well as the ‘growing benefit of Clubcard prices’.

‘We believe Tesco has had more capability to absorb cost pressures than many of its peers, reflected in its upward guidance at [interim results in October],’ said Black.

‘We sense that strong execution through the festive period means that positive operational gearing has helped Tesco to continue to absorb the cost pressures within its own business model at the cost-of-goods-sold and operating expense level.

‘Accordingly, we believe that there may be scope for Tesco to further
positively guide full-year 2022 earnings higher at its forthcoming trading update.’

I've just been told that a local girl who collects for the food banks was given 24 turkeys at close of day at Aldi on Christmas Eve, she couldn't give them away so they're stuck in a variety of her neighbours' freezers.

So much for all the Christmas is cancelled media reports.

Aldi looking to recruit over 100 new British suppliers in 2022

Aldi has announced plans to recruit over 100 additional British suppliers in 2022, in a bid to accelerate its commitment to increase its spend with British suppliers by £3.5bn a year by the end of 2025.

This forms part of the supermarket’s push to further increase the number of products it sources from the UK across all product categories, including food, drink and Specialbuys.

Aldi’s entire core range of fresh meat, eggs, milk, butter and cream is already sourced from British suppliers, while more than 40% of fresh produce sold is also British.
