14/8/2018 09:50 | Microsoft on Monday released Azure Stack for Government, a new program that gives government customers a familiar set of cloud services in a hybrid model. The move to make the Azure Stack available to government customers comes on the heels of the Pentagon in July releasing its final call for proposals for its $10 billion cloud contract known as JEDI, which will be rewarded to a single vendor. The Pentagon's looming multi-billion-dollar cloud contract has drawn harsh criticism from a variety of tech giants, including Oracle, which is leading the coalition. Other vendors standing alongside Oracle include hardware providers Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as well as cloud rivals Microsoft and IBM, which are rallying for a fair opportunity for the contract. [Related: 10 Major Microsoft Announcements At Inspire 2018] Microsoft in March first announced its plans to integrate Azure Stack with its government cloud offering so that government customers could have connections into services such as Azure Government identity, subscription, registration, billing, backup and disaster recovery, and Azure Marketplace, whether in a public or private cloud environment. Microsoft has not said specifically whether Azure Stack for Azure Government Customers will be available immediately through its channel partners. At the same time, meeting strict regulatory, connectivity, and latency requirements, according to Microsoft in a blog post. | queenwood

14/8/2018 08:43 | Sweepie I think I would be worried if share price started to say good things about Tern in an about turn. Also if I was flx I would be wishing they would go away, that’s the kind of support you can do without. | warrenfingerfood

14/8/2018 08:33 | We do need an update on stage 3 though it's been about 5 months now... even a few lines, saying, for example. A number of offers have been received and rejected. Talks continue. A sale should conclude within 4 to 10 weeks. Or he pursues a policy of licensing client-companies, or offering sector exclusivity or DA stays independent. e.g. DA lists on the NASDAQ. ... or they've had no offers at all. Some clarity, one way or the other please. .... but then again, going on past performance, Al Sisto IMO prefers the stealth (say nothing) route. | andrbea

14/8/2018 08:28 | Rackets it doesn’t interest me. I can’t think listing in NZ is the first step to building a global empire, but I also wish anyone that invests in a company to make money. so I hope it works out for him. | warrenfingerfood |
