I wonder how the Nasdaq works with faced with big buys, in early trading?
Like the London MMs who use the delayed trades system to report everything meaningful after hours?

An open & more transparent system (where orders get filled instantly by a computer) ...even if not practicable... would give the small-time investor a clear & truthful picture of the demand (or lack of) for a stock.

At present, it's like watching a painting that bears no resemblance to the real one (behind the scenes). In terms of transparency and honesty, the London market might as well be shut. LOL

In London some buys aren't filled till the day after and then reported 2 or 3 days late.

Time for reform (and automation of trades)?

In Australia (asx) there are no MMs, correct?

It's the usual trick folks.When 24/7 deramping and cursing of TERN fails, they suddenly post to say they've just sold after having mysteriously bought at the last dip seen on the chart.All to encourage the very weak traders to sell some with a hope to triggering some sort of downtrend.Well, it ain't working..
