Just surging ahead now, just shows to to add on the dips and hold. I bought this all the way down to 6 and held. Divi reinvested too. Website not updated yet, want to see that portfolio!

Indeed, could the shift to value be happening now, glad to be proved wrong, and happy to hold.

UK centric value ITs seem to have been on the up over the past couple of days, as well as commercial property. Basically what had been the most horribly savaged is perking up the most.

Not complaining mind you!

RWC now on. Can't see them doing much here, their performance of their other funds, rwc uk equity income, has been awful from the start, really poor stock pickers. I believe value investing to be over now.

Seeing as the new management won't be signing on until end October, the present portfolio is meaningless. So, basically, we're hanging on to a yield of 5.5% and reducing reserves in the hope that they'll last out the virus.

It's now much more diversified, both geographically and in terms of asset classes. Many more UK equity income trusts are likely to follow. It's certainly a more interesting proposition than the re-vamped Edinburgh.

Talking of value plays, and a top 10 including gilts, silver, easy j, travis and RR - I now see this as diverse enough to significantly benefit when we return to sone sort of 'new norm'.

Yes the FT article on Sat really helped. Pushed value investing to come back.

That would hardly move the needle.

Sentiment shift on attitude towards the Trust, perhaps.

They have a 3% holding in RR which is up another 25% today - maybe something to do with that ?

I've sold out into this 7% rise. This trust moves in mysterious ways.

I've invested in VUKE. FTSE100 tracker
