Yes some brokers bit slow. In real terms it's up 2-3% today. This should encourage new buyers hopefully. I've been adding to this past few days, my largest IT holding now, along with 3i. Ex div on the 9th June.

Thank you for that. Have bought in as I want the value orientation. I think jeremy granthams permabear predictions on overvalued S&P500 could turn into reality and so seeking safer havens.

I would ignore the past performance here. Previous manager made a really bad call holding large in Capita, which destroyed the trust,it went from 14 to 6. However the materials from RWC are impressive, they have turned the trust around with some good calls. Also if u listen to their interviews on moneyweek website, they are hugely impressive. V long term hold for me.

So when comparing templebar vs merchants trust vs law debenture - all value -oriented UK equity trusts - why is it so much more volatile. Its track record prior to its managemnt change last year was awful. The same board remains in place which is a worry. What is the long term track record of the new double act managing this portfolio? There’s not a lot out there on how much relative alpha either have achieved. I want to be convinced that this is not a duff new team in place. Thoughts ?

I also added at 10.48 CHC15 and will be following your playbook. Yesterday felt like a delayed reaction to ITV (and banks obvis). ITV on 5x end 22 earnings and 0.2 PB seems ridiculous with earnings broadly inline.

Discount narrowed here, but I see no reason to sell or trade this trust. It's one of the last true value plays out there.

Indeed, the 2 managers are true value experts, and have made the right calls and judged the mkt right. Happy to hold forever, and add on any large drops.

Yes it has, I'm happy to hold long term, and reinvest divis. Be interesting to see if uk value wins over us tech this year.

I actually sold mine on the basis that the discount has narrowed from 10% to 4%. Also the market as a whole has had a good rally recently

Too late to sell my bg tech funds, so will keep, add to them. Added more TMPL yesterday and today.
