I seen that cordwainer but it’s just going to form can you imagine some other companies releasing consistently decent results they wouldn’t be on a consistent downtrend lol

There's probably some reaction today to the deputy CEO selling £212373 worth of shares.

morningstar.com, 8.45am:
"TBC Bank slipped by 1.9% after Nikoloz Kurdiani, deputy chief executive Of JSC TBC Bank sold GBP212,373 in shares in a transaction on Thursday. Kurdiani disposed of 15,338 shares at a price of GBP13.85 each. It has not been disclosed how many shares, if any, he has left after the sale."

Criminal what they do to this stocks share price it just plain annoys me just look at bgeo share chart a bank in the same country as I keep saying great results once again and goes no where on a similar chart.jeez if results were bad like most British banks this would be toast n marmalade job, this should be at £16 minimum 🤔

It has a nice divvy and the Georgian economy is on the up ..expanding into Uzbekistan too will add value I think.

Georgian lender TBC Bank said it had obtained a preliminary banking licence in Uzbekistan.

The company said the development was an essential step in the process of launching its banking operations in the country in 'the near future'.

'Obtaining a banking licence is a two-step process, wherein the banks are first granted a preliminary licence after which they are expected to meet certain predefined requirements to receive the final licence,' it added.

'As previously announced, TBC's strategy is to develop a greenfield, next-generation banking ecosystem for retail and MSME customers in Uzbekistan.'

'The primary focus will be on digital channels, including our neobank, Space.'

BGEO's Return on Equity jumped from 22.9% at Q2 to 26.8% at Q3 update 7th Nov 2019 , albeit equal to Q3 2018. TBCG's Q3 ROE was 20.4%. But I suspect BGEO excludes higher one-off costs than TBCG.. it's not that easy to see at a glance, one-offs totals are buried in the details and notes rather than in the (adjusted) financial highlights. And of course some one-offs might be more or less 'one-off' than others.

btw, i bought in here 2 days ago, predicated on continued strength in Georgian economy, a good dividend, and no black swan events such as russian invasion. On balance I couldn't really distinguish a clear reason for choosing this over BGEO, so I told myself that "TBC Bank" is a marginally more international sounding brand than "Bank of Georgia" (without knowing that TBC is derived from Tbilisi Business Centre that is).

UK banks are said to have cheaper sources of funding, while Georgia's small economy is vulnerable to currency movements. Although the PE ratio is low, these shares are at slight premium to book value whereas major UK banks are at a significant discount.
As far as I know, not much to choose between this and Bank of Georgia (BGEO), other than the latter has had more prominence with tipsters in the press.
