I purchased 7,250 shares on Friday.Mainly to balance my Portfolio. Also for the guaranteed dividend of 13.8p a share, and growth long term.Short term may be a struggle, but at a forward yield of 9.5%,It is only ITV with there Special dividend given a similar yield,in the FTSE 100.I am not ramping but for long term exposure,I am prepared to take the risk/reward,and consider both TW.,and ITV good buys at these levels.IMHO DYOR. arja good name

BREXIT effect starting to adversely affect builders and it might mean TW will do well to get above 150p again sadly.

Good write up on Motley Fool regarding BKG,and TW,basically quotes the two are the best of the builders to buy atm,for growth and guaranteed dividend based returns, and not on earning.I hold both.DYOR

Updates Form Telford and Countryside, written up fairly extensively in today's FT,reassure that the market has bounced from a slow patch immediately post Brexit....."more than made up".
There is some inflation in the cost of materials but it's being easily absorbed given price rises.
The UK equity market has something of a conundrum to know where to turn after recent gains.Only the brave would buy banks and insurers have EU passporting fears.Retailers especially food retailers are likely to be mired in a competitive struggle and manufacturers aren't going to have an easy ride.Commodities and oil have enjoyed something of a recovery but the backcloth remains chequered with concern over China etc.Healthcare with high overseas earnings remains a good default option other than Hilary is near certain to get into the White House. This leaves me thinking that underperforming housebuilders with attractive yields are a relatively attractive choice right now.

Spoole - the govt would have to put a rocket up housebuilders' backsides (or some other incentive) to get enough houses built.

I have said before that, as well as houses to buy, the govt ought to get involved in some PFI initiative to get social housing built as well, for really affordable renting for young workers with, eg 5 year tenancy. In conjunction with housebuilders and also construction/ support services sector.

Steeple - hope there is a special offer for the CDs if you buy all 3.

He lost out big time on the recent miner rally.

Surprised he isn't getting margin calls.

I think he was also massively short the FTSE 100 shortly after Brexit.

CatsWhiskas ............ good man and good luck ;-)

I think it's only a matter of time when investors will see the true value of investing in TW and other building stocks.

It is currently the largest part of my SIPP pension portfolio so I'm not in a desperate rush.
